We booked this restaurant for a pre-concert dinner. We arrived 5-10 minutes early at the front desk, and though we clearly could see empty tables, were told we must wait until 6:00 pm to be seated because that is when our reservation was for. We waited for about 10-minutes when a party of three walks up to the front desk for a 6:00 pm reservation and was seated immediately. I complained to the front desk and was told that we had to wait to ensure the kitchen was not stressed out. Finally, after some more time we were shown to our table. It was in the far back of the restaurant near the kitchen doors. I complained about such a poor table and requested one nearer the windows so we could see the Truckee River. When there are empty tables and customers willing to buy a drink while waiting, why make the customers stand aside for so long? Instead of focusing on the stress of the kitchen staff, how about thinking of the customers? We will not be returning to this restaurant. We had the duck breast which was so-so.

Pre show dinner at the Shore Room was very nice. Lively crowd due to Western Light Festival. While waiting for seating, were able to enjoy mixed drink demonstration and samples in the bar at 5:30pm. Enjoyed the Salmon and Flat Iron Steak Entrees which were both terrific. Shared a Flourless Chocolate Cake for dessert - delicious!

Food and service was amazing! Waitress was quick to find out about gluten free options when asked. I only scored low on noise level as it was brunch and there was an extremely loud group of people and the sound was echoing throughout the area.

The busser was not trained properly. I don’t fault the busser if he does not understand the basic functions of his job. We still had a great evening. The food was excellent. The room is really lovely. Easy access. Valet parking. I definitely recommend this place.

Busy Sunday afternoon with lots of hotel guests having brunch. We had a beautiful table with a nice view of the Truckee River. Food was really good and the waitress was lovely.
