The Snooty Fox is a pub with a difference and Northamptonshire's finest freehouse - there is so much to sample, you’ll need to revisit many times - and you’ll always be assured of a Snooty Fox welcome whenever you do.

The pub itself is a truly stunning place in the heart of Lowick, a lovely village with a great community spirit.

The Greedy Gordons Pub Group were thrilled to take over the pub in 2020 and wanted to create an unusual and quirky venue with food and drink to match.

We always enjoy the food here, and at their other establishments. However, myself and the rest of my party all agreed the roast potatoes were a bit of a let down. They looked the part but were very tough, difficult to cut and had that oily flavour of potatoes that had been previously cooked then reheated. We don't mind paying over the odds for exceptional meals but were a little disappointed today.

Hi Matthew I am very disappointed to be reading your review and appreciate the honest feedback. As a group of people full of passion for hospitality and giving 150% to be the best we can sometimes things can go wrong. I do take your feedback seriously and i am seeing the head chef this morning who was on duty on sunday to go through the process of his roast potatoes. One thing i will say they have not been reheated but can i ask did you bring this issue up with any of the staff on Sunday either when they checked back, 5 to 10 mins after delivering main courses, or clearing your main courses? As i say i am meeting with the chef today and i will get back to you later today. Warm Regards Richard Gordon Owner

My husband and i had a fantastic night at The Snooty Fox yesterday. From the cosy bar where we had a pre dinner drink to the outstanding service we received while having dinner. The food was great, we both had scallops for a starter then I had a chicken caesar salad while my husband opted for the pork chop which was huge! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Is it on the pricey side?....yes. Do you get what you pay for?....yes. we will definitely be returning.

Spectacular food, delicious beer and really lovely people. We’d thoroughly recommend the halibut and the pork tomahawk if they are on the menu, they were both amazing as were the desserts. Looking forward to another trip to the Snooty Fox soon!

We are always welcomed by the manager and well looked after. The food is excellent and a superb selection of beers including alcohol free. How pubs should be.

Really enjoyed our food and drink. Well worth it. It’s refined and relaxed at the same time. It’s just a lovely place to spend a couple of hours with family and friends. Great quality and just feels special. Steve and the staff looked after us brilliantly and have we have already rebooked for next time. If you haven’t been, give it a go.

Just love love love Sunday lunch at the Snooty Fox. They do everything right! Service, atmosphere and food!! Perfect!

In a word, fantastic! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent food, perfect portion sizes, wide ranging menu, decent drinks, lovely atmosphere (even for a Tuesday evening in October!) They even tweaked the plate for my 12 year old.
