Handicap table was not available had to wait 20 minWe went for the Thanksgiving Buffet our Grandma is newly in a wheelchair and our homes all have multiple stairs we have reserved rooms for large meals but Thanksgiving just has so much we thought we'd try going out. On our booking we noted under special notes that we needed a wheelchair accessible seating (and we booked here since it noted they could accommodate). We arrived just before our 4pm reservation and a table was not available we were informed that previous guests were paying and we would have a table as soon as they clear the space. It ended up being just over 20 mins! The open tables were all high tops originally- I have to say we have been learning A LOT about the issues when having a wheelchair it's a bit frustrating and also was embarrassing for my grandma who is new to this as her new mobility. We have never done a buffet before and all the staff was very nice and hustling but most the items were empty when we went up. The poor guy at the turkey was picking scrapes! The restaurant isn't huge and from what I could see it didn't seem like folks were going to crazy! It would also be nice if food was labeled- I was the only one who fully knew the menu and it was slightly off from what was advertised- so food labels would be nice for guests that are showing up with their group since likely just one person actually booked it. Mashed potatoes, stuffed chicken, sweet potatoes and the apple pecan salad were my favorite! I honestly could eat those mashed potatoes for the rest of my life and nothing else and be content! None of the food needed extra salt/pepper which is rare especially for my mom! I was very disappointed that the Oreo looking pie was gone by time we were ready for dessert I didn't want to grab dessert with my main meal since I assumed it would be replenished the same- and the pie that was available pumpkin/apple ended up both being FROZEN! tiramisu was very good!

My husband, daughter and I went to The Social for their Thanksgiving buffet. Getting in/making a reservation was easy, however I was offered the choices of Booth Area 1 or Booth Area 2. There was no indication on their website of where these areas were located so I just chose area 1. We were seated in a booth near the front door where every time someone came in, we got a blast of cold air. The staff was very friendly, attentive and efficient. The drinks were way overpriced ($16 for an Espresso Martini). The buffet offered a large selection of different foods to choose from including four different seafood appetizers which was a main reason for picking this place as my daughter is a Pescatarian. The shrimp and the oysters were fine but the mussels were still partially frozen. Not even sure what the fourth seafood option was but it was really good. Stuffing for the turkey was kind of blah but turkey was really good. Wish they had put out half slices of pie because I couldn't choose between pumpkin and pecan and didn't want to take two whole pieces. The building that this restaurant is in is incredibly interesting and we walked all around it and admired the history and architecture so that was an added fun part of the outing. I would like to spend a night or two at this hotel but not sure I would eat at the restaurant again.

We went for downtown dining week. The salads were dry, not enough dressing. Sloppy Joe sliders were very salty. Dessert and drinks were ok. Service was slow, but not many people working

First time we were here it was amazing so we're excited to come back our excitement quickly went to regret. There were 4 of us for brunch, 2 orders no issues while 2 orders arrived ice cold, bread was hard as a brick. We decided to order something different based only to be further disappointed again we could not even cut the bread with a knife and the eggs, not cooked. Manager was less than helpful and seemed un interested... NEVER GOING BACK!

We were at The Social as part of MKE downtown dining. The elote soup and the arugula salad were both very good. I was there with a party of four. We each had a different one of the entrees and we all pronounce them very good. I was surprised however that the sloppy joe sliders were actually better than the buttermilk chicken sliders. For dessert most of us had the Strawberry Shortcake and of course that was good too. Overall a very pleasant dining experience and the service was very good also.

We enjoyed our time at The Social American Tavern! Zoe was a great and friendly bartender and our appetizer at the bar came out minutes after we ordered. Dinner was delish and the aesthetic was beautiful. Ariel did take my plate with two crispy bites of schnitzel left as my head was turned, but overall, great experience.
