We had dinner reservations for Southern on 8th in Clermont, FL on Sunday, November 24 at 5pm, however the restaurant was CLOSED when we arrived. A sign was posted on the door saying it was closed for renovations. OpenTable allowed us to make reservations for a CLOSED restaurant. Another couple was sitting outside the restaurant in the same situation as we were, having made reservations on OpenTable. We are hesitant to make dining reservations on OpenTable again in the future if we can't rely on the information.

This should have been a zero star rating, but you have to leave at least one in order to leave a review. I had decided that I was not going to be coming here anymore because they have changed for being a scratch kitchen to just purchasing their food and reheating it. However, I made an exception to meet my closest friends for some brunch. We were able to make a reservation And we showed up on time. The restaurant was closed and there was no sign on the door. We only found out by Chance because a person waiting in line got an email saying they would be closed. This is no way to run a business and I don't anticipate they will be in business very long, but they have surely lost my business forever.

Well, this could be a diamond in the rough. Price of meals are a little high for the quality. It doesn’t matter because they have closed up shop.

They were not open even though we had a confirmed reservation and their hours on the door were posted as open.

Every one enjoyed the time and food just some things could have been done a little better like half of the table fries were oily and it look like they cooked to many of the fries in the same basket. And just small things but over all we had a good time

We had a wonderful experience at Southern on 8th. It was our first time and we'll definitely be going back!

Very beautiful restaurant but it was very dim for a brunch. Portions were small for the price. Food was okay but over cooked. Overall it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great.
