                                                                                      One person had the vegetarian dish, cauliflower steak that was great. Sadly I couldn’t cut the meat with the steak knife ( even after changing the knife). I’d asked for medium/rare but it was also too rare for me. The pepper sauce was lacking in flavour however the cheese sauce and the croquettes were delicious.

                                                                                      Food was incredible. Drinks were tasty. Restaurant was a tad loud which made it hard to hear my partner. But other than that it was a great night for a birthday dinner. Best steak I've had in a really long time. The truffle fries and mixed greens were unreal.

                                                                                      Outstanding! Beautiful place, very attentive staff offering their service and the food was mouth-wateringly perfect. Highly recommend!

                                                                                      Excellent tomahawk steak and service was brilliant, the only thing that brought down from 5 stars was the placement of the bar which essentially blocks the entrance and gets congested and very noisy very quickly. Other than that - a great meal

                                                                                      This place is absolutely amazing we have been to loads of stake place. This was by far one of the best even better than Miller and Carter. Would definitely give this a try looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch

                                                                                      Das Steak war außen verbrannt und Innen noch roh, obwohl wir es Medium bestellt hatten. Die Bohnen waren nicht durch und ohne Geschmack, die Kartoffeln total überwürzt und ohne Konsistenz. Auf unsere Anmerkung, dass das Steak verbrannt schmeckt, wurde uns nur gesagt, dass das so gehöre. Unsere Teller und unser Essen wurde ohne Worte auf den Tisch geschmissen. Am Ende haben wir für dieses ,,Erlebnis“ 100£ bezahlt. Nie wieder!!!!

                                                                                      It was our first time dining at The Spanish Butcher and the service was fantastic. We had the Prime Rib which was great value, the food throughout was amazing with the standout being both the Gambas Pil Pil and the Prime Rib which was cooked to perfection. Will definitely come here again when visiting Edinburgh.
