Welcome to the Spinnaker & Stern Room!
After being beautifully restored at the beginning of 2015 we offer informal dining in comfortable and relaxed surroundings. We try our best to support our local suppliers using Isle of Wight produce where possible. Our selection of wine and beverages are diverse and well thought about including Island Roasted coffee and locally brewed ales and spirits.
As an Inn we have 14 bedrooms and can offer areas for private dining, conferencing and weddings.

Service was OK however not happy with having dogs in the area where eating! Also this place is very very expensive, £27 for a bottle of wine, come on its a pub not a restaurant, meal cost over £75, they seriously need to look at prices, if on a break and on a budget give a miss, if you have £75 to spend, better places to spend it for sure.

I have a dairy and a wine allergy . They were very accommodating without fuss which gives confidence in the food . Good food and good atmosphere .

Visited between Christmas and New year the restaurant was extremely quite. There were several items on the menu and specials board not available. Food was ok although I had the sea bass which I felt was a small portion. Overall ok. Nice friendly staff who where attentive and polite.

I was disappointed. After trying your sister establishment, the Boathouse at Seaview where I had a very enjoyable evening meal, I found that the Spinnaker was a poor relation on all counts, and lacking in terms of quality of food, value for money, and ambience.

We came for our 15th wedding anniversary we didn't tell you but you bought us some champagne that our daughter had arranged for us it was put on our table a lady said ' this is from michelke" and walked of at no time did any of your staff wish us well or any little touches that may have made the evening memorable we were rushed and didn't feel special at all.

Afternoon tea at the Spinnaker was very pleasant and refined. The pub and dining rooms are very well presented, the food was of a high standard, the staff are very helpful and the antique dinner service completed the experience. We were staying locally and had the pleasure of having a few evening drinks as well as having a late breakfast there as well. Can't recommend the Spinnaker enough! Hope to return on our next visit to the Island.

We had a wonderful meal here whilst on holiday with our friends from the Island. The menu was inventive, but there were also traditional classics - so plenty of choice for all. Extremely good quality and locally sourced where possible. All good! The portion sizes are very hearty, so I went for the small appetite option for my main course. As the restaurant offers various portion sizes, this enabled me to have 3 courses, instead of the usual 2 - so I wasn't uncomfortable after the main and didn't miss out on a delicious dessert. This must be better in every respect - happy customer, less waste and a better experience. I'm sure this doesn't reduce the profit of a restaurant, but adds to the experience of customers who have smaller appetites. Great ambience, lovely decor and very attentive staff. We will definitely visit again when we are next on the Island :-)
