The Springwood can be summed up effectively as a neighborhood restaurant, whose values, regarding the menu, focus greatly on locally sourced ingredients, hyper-seasonality, regenerative farming practices and minimizing waste.

The restaurant is the brainchild of local entrepreneurs Matthew Simpson (Chef) and Jasmine Lee (General Manager). Partners in business and in life since 2007.

To further their knowledge of the Hospitality industry they made their way to Downtown Toronto, where they were able to hone their crafts working in upscale and well-known restaurants for nine years. The end goal was always assured though, that they would come back to the town that gave them their start and help bring a special space to the place that they grew up.

As you make your way inside, you will be met with warm wood, lush plant life and funky art deco accents. We want this space to feel as though you are stepping into our home and we welcome you all to Come Over for Dinner.

    Join us for New Year's Eve at the Springwood. Chef has prepared a shared 4 course menu to ring in the New Year! Night of there will be optional supplements, as well as a 4 course wine pairing option. Please visit www.thespringwoodwhitby.com to view the menu beforehand. Some allergy and dietary modifications can be made but this will be the only menu available. If you would like to stay and ring in the New Year with us, please select a 9:30pm or later seating. Credit card is required to hold the reservation and will only be charged if cancelled within 48 hours of the date. Price does not include taxes and gratuities. Payment is due at the restaurant.

    Food was delicious, service perfect, we were cold where we were sitting as the door was opening and closing. Noise level also quite loud.

    We ordered halibut and it’s the best we had ever eaten. Chef is so creative and the fish was expertly prepared. The entire service experience by Erin and Jasmine was perfectly executed. Can’t wait to come over again!

    The rainbow trout appetizer was scrumptious. The Rye Cavetelli is the best I’ve ever had and knowing it’s created in house makes it even more special. The Halibut was mouth watering and the beets, delicious. I’ve tried a lot of different dishes on the menu and it never disappoints. The mussels are the best I’ve ever had. I return often for the pasta because they switch up the favours and it always delicious. I highly recommend you eat at Springwood for any occasion.
