   This place has definitely earned its name, the cherry bourbon smash was the best bourbon cocktail I’ve ever had. We started with the mussels in diabolo sauce, sauce was so good we had to have it packed up to bring home, the lamb shank risotto and the pistachio crusted lamb chops were out of this world, and we finished on crème the caramel, which was light but perfectly set. We’ve been here a few times and found ourselves wondering why we don’t come more, it’s a lot closer to us than the nicer places in downtown or in beachwood, we will look for more events in the La Salle venue so we can return.

   It was our first time eating at the standard and it will not be the last. The food was fantastic! The service was excellent. Our server was exceptional and made the dining experience that much better. She was knowledgeable and had great recommendations. I had a filet that was the best I have had in a very long time. We cannot wait to go back.

   I am a good cook so I go out to dinner to be treated well, not just for food. This was my second time at The Standard and likely my last. The table was not ready for our reservation. They offered to seat us on the patio and would move us in to our table shortly. 40 minutes later we were still waiting and only got moved after I asked about it. While on the patio we ordered appetizers and after we moved indoors it was another 30 minutes before we were served. The octopus was so charred it was bitter. We asked the waiter if we could order dinner- since he never asked us what we wanted, and that took another 20 minutes for service. The 2+ hour ordeal was lackluster, loud and the food was fair, not great. I’m highly disappointed in the overall experience and would not recommend this restaurant for anyone who values their time or wants a fine dining evening.

   A lovely experience - cocktails were unique and delicious, tapas of gambas pil pil was tasty with giant garlicky shrimp, the Moroccan chicken fez was very moist, and the crab-stuffed salmon special was delicious! I am also still dreaming about the chocolate pots de crème for dessert! I am so glad I ordered it!! Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The atmosphere was a little smoky from the kitchen but not enough to be detrimental. A wonderful dinner!

   Broad variety of items on the menu—grilled sardines, quail, Moroccan items, Dover sole—well prepared and delicious. Service a bit slow, but enthusiastic. A bit noisy for my taste, but enjoyable evening, overall.

   The standard is the standard for a wonderful dining experience with fantastic food and ambience beyond compare. Max gave us outstanding service and was attentive to the fact that we had a time constraint.

   We had the most amazing experience at The Standard last night. This was the first time both myself and my boyfriend had been there. The food was exquisite. The stuffed salmon (which is a special often because of how good it is) was AMAZING. My boyfriend got the boullabaise with had a lobster tail, claims, muscles, shrimp, scallops in an amazing saffron broth. To start we had the quail- I had never had it before but oh my gosh so good. Our server though- Christopher- was absolutely the most amazing server we have had anywhere. His service is top notch, and as we said last night, when we go again (and we will) we will be requesting him. Such an awesome experience, we can’t wait to go back!!

    The service was terrific! Very gracious and helpful without hovering. It was too dark inside. I appreciate mood lighting, but it was so dark that I couldn’t tell how much bone marrow was left in the bone. I had to use my phone to see. I had the duck and it was a bit too rare. I like medium rare, but it was very chewy and I attributed that to not being done. The value was good for being a more upscale restaurant. Not sure I would go back.
