    Absolutely fantastic experience. Setting very nice and calm atmosphere. Service very good, food amazing including extra roast potatoes, carrots and cauliflower cheese as part of unlimited Sunday roast. We will definitely return and recommend.

    Excellent Sunday lunch. Good service & reasonable price. Necessary to book on a Sunday as very busy.

    We’ve had four meals here and they never disappoint. Food is lovely (always plenty of choice, quality ingredients and delicious combinations) and service is professional and attentive. Excellent value with Travelzoo voucher. Makes fine dining in a pub setting more accessible and enjoyable.

    Fabulous meal at The Star, staff were great and very friendly, food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We shall be back 😊

    Probably the best pub restaurant in the area - certainly one of the best. A relatively limited menu of well chosen dishes - much better than a vast menu of pre-prepared food.

    Great food and drinks at the Star with friends on a Friday night. Good to be able to take advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktails and the current offer of 20% off the a la carte menu for food. Music in the bar was also excellent, we had a really good table in the restaurant, service was also great. We'll be back soon!

    We had a travel zoo voucher and had 3 courses for £39 very good value. The food was beautifully presented and was delicious. The beef was really succulent and we would recommend it. The staff were happy to exchange parsnip mash for chips.
