Booked pre panto high tea to treat my parents before Christmas. 2 out of 5 meals arrived and were almost finished before 3 chicken marylands arrived...no apology for delay. Food good, shame about the food mix up/delay

Can't fault the food, but the service was poor, only 3 girls trying their best to clear the tables after what must have been a VERY busy afternoon, and take food order, and drinks orders which they had to go to the bar for,and it was short of staff also. Been to the Station Hotel quite a few times, but the service lets them down again. Message to management, bite the bullet and employ more staff.

A long overdue lunch, food was lovely lots of compliments about the chicken Maryland fish was delicious as was the steak pie we opted for the cake stand instead of ice cream ( yummie) our only complaint most of the afternoon there was only one waitress and she was very nice but busy maybe more staff but very good value.

The humble entrance belie a grand reception hall inside. The toilet was immaculately clean. Heating was generous. The high tea has great value relative to the portion.

We had the High Tea before going to the theatre. This good value for money, with a few choices of main courses. It was very busy tonight but the 2 ladies serving coped very well as did the kitchen. I had the Fish & chips & my husband had the steak pie. Both were good.
