Whether you take your steak rare, medium or well-done, the Steak Pit is suited to satisfy your cravings. This mountain-side steakhouse offers year-round, top-notch service with a high-class menu and a low-key vibe. Conveniently located at the Snowbird Center and within walking distance from any lodging property at Snowbird, the Steak Pit is suitable for a special event or the whole family.

All menu items are built upon multiple courses, beginning with generous helpings of fresh salads and bread before choosing from hand-crafted cuts of the finest steak from locally sourced farms or trout freshly caught from Idaho streams. An award-winning wine list has been curated to create an exceptional and balanced selection of wines, and staff is trained to assist guests in making an appropriate choice to pair with their food.

We have been going to Steak Pit for over 35 years, through the coming and going of wood menus, wood salad bowls and metal containers for the dressings (preferred) and the artichokes (fabulous). So glad to see them back, and thesalad is still the same quailty in the white ceramic bowls. All our measl were cooked to perfection, tender filets all around. The mud pie was better than I remembered. After some difficult years in the past, it is so nice to see the Steak Pit back up to the high quality I had remebered.

This was my daughter's 16th birthday and the staff made it very special. Even Larry the Porcupine showed up!

Delicious trout, scallops,veggies, and rolls. Excellent service throughout the evening. Never disappoints!

I ordered the Wagyu New York steak, cooked medium, and ordered a regular New York steak, cooked medium rare. The wagyu was cooked medium rare, and the regular New York was cooked medium. We just switched steaks. My complaint really was that the baked potatoes were barely warm and the glazed carrots which never arrived until we reminded the waitress that we irdered carrots and then they were served room temperature. The steaks were excellent tasting, but it was disappointing that the other items were barely warm.

We ordered a ribeye and that was not the cut of meat served. I don’t think the meat was prime. Ate here in January and it was a much better meal. Disappointed.

The food is excellent, steaks were cooked to our requested temperature. It was nice to have the big salad bowl to share. The vegetables were prepared nicely, cooked, yet still a little crunchy.

Lobster mac brought out cold - returned luke warm. Meat brought out a sizzle platters uncut…strange.

We came into town from the east coast to stay at snowbird for a couple nights and weren’t expecting too much from a dinner on the resort (resort dinning in general often overpriced and underwhelming) this place is FANTASTIC!! Great food and ambiance we had the lobster Mac and cheese which was a little more saucy however great flavor and filet mignon with twice baked potato’s so good! Classic steakhouse with an elevated vibe, if you’re staying at Snowbird, don’t hesitate!
