   The service was not great. The food was okay, but the overall restaurant has a very run down look.

   The price was fair the food was not good over salted potatoes poached eggs were overcooked for being the only customers that morning it was a big disappointment on top of being sat at a dirty table. The server was nice and friendly and attentive

   We’ve been coming to the Paso Robles Inn for dinner for about 18 years. Over that time they’ve done a lot of updating in their dining room and in the cattleman bar upstairs. Last night‘s dinner was a bit of a disappointment as the service was not what we usually have. I don’t know if it was the day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and problems getting staffing. The waiter did give us a glass of wine to make up for it. Also, my pork chop dinner which was delicious was not very hot. We will be back to see if this just was an unusual day at the restaurant.

   Had to send fillet back it was charcoal on the outside. Totally inedible. My short ribs were very dry. Another asked for prime rib end cut and even though it’s supposed to be well done it was beyond well done and should have never been served. My wife’s halibut was over cooked. For the money spent not worth it. Our waiter did the best she could. No complaints about her she did a great job.

   It was our first Thanksgiving in the area, so we wanted to experience local fine dining. We had driven by the hotel on a number of occasions, and were curious, so decided to take a chance on a holiday. The hotel in which this is houses this restaurant is listed as historical landmark, which is a draw for me. And it was listed as excellent by a local travel/tourism blog. I will begin by saying that we may or may not return here. It wasn't that it was horrible, but it was not that outstanding either. We had a reservation. It was late dinner, and we got hungry, so we showed up early because we thought we could get a table sooner. Nope. Staff shortages. When we checked in, we were told that even after being seated, 45 minute wait to receive the order. And by the time we we finished our dinner, they had run out of dessert. I'm also not sure that this restaurant could be considered fine dining. There's window seating facing the street and the outdoor patio with fire pits. There were tablecloths and table settings, but it felt more business casual than true 4 or 5 star restaurant. Maybe for Paso Robles this is fine dining? There was a limited menu because of holiday. Not a problem for us, but I think if we were to return here, we'd probably be happier with lunch menu. The food was adequate, but a little pricey for what it was. We wanted to be wowed. The service was a little slow because of staff shortages. We were already hungry, so it didn't help our mood. But our server was pleasant and helpful in choosing our entrees.    Came for Thanksgiving and was highly disappointed. We arrived at 6:00, and were promptly seated. Waitress came and took drink order, which arrived within a couple minutes. We then ordered our meals around 6:20. Our food was not brought to our table till 7:30. Over an hour wait for food is unacceptable . Prime rib was good, turkey was good. Mac and cheese was overcooked and seemed like it had been sitting for a long time. Deviled egg trip was super overcooked and tiny for price. Pumpkin cheesecake looked like remnant when brought to table, but actually tasted really good. Cocktails were delicious and well priced. Food was super overpriced. Overall highly disappointed and do not plan on recommending nor returning.

   The ambience and grounds were very pleasant. The wait staff did an admirable job. But, the food was a disappointment especially for such a special event; Thanksgiving. Just not tasty and flavorful at all.

    We had our dog with us so we sat outside with a heater. All was good and the restaurant was accommodating. The service was excellent and the food was great. We really enjoyed our meal. Caesar salad and prime rib (cooked perfectly).
