   This is the 2nd time we've dined at The Steakhouse inside San Luis/Galveston, Texas. We didn't get disappointed either time....everything was superb! To say the food, service & atmosphere is great does not cover it.....the Lobster Bisque is the best I've ever had,...the filet was cooked to perfection & my husband's Salmon he compared to Alaska first run Copper River!!!!! Service is over the top..on our 1st visit 11/13/24, we had Lazon (not sure of sp.)...he was polite, helpful with suggestions, very prompt with the timing of our meal & very professional & friendly. On our 2nd visit, 2/22, if it's possible, the experience was even better. Our main server was Carlos, who was a delight...but Lazon recognized us & came over to say hello & wished my husband a Happy Birthday. Our whole experience was exceptional...I'm running out of great adjectives! Also, to end this glowing review, there's Jon Paul....the Maitre D Extraordinaire...he makes sure this restaurant is a well oiled machine. He checks on everything from the customers, the food & the servers. He's always there to assist with anything & everything. His personality is perfect for the job he does, too. Very friendly. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just a plain old date night. They all make you feel very special!

   Our server was so knowledgeable, he even taught me things about steaks. Amazing service, somehow even better food, all around phenomenal experience. Everytime i’m in Galveston i will come back.

   Several wrong plates delivered to our table / waiter forgot about us for nearly an hour. Early courses, appetizers and bisque were good, main plate and sides were nothing to write home about, desserts were good. Busy Valentines Day dinner. Small space, probably would have benefited from 2 or more less tables but understand business needs to capitalize on the occasion.

   Crab cake and lobster bisque were amazing. Recommend the Wagyu steak, melt in your mouth flavor. Very tasty deserts. Service was exemplary for a busy Valentines night.

   Went for the Valentines dinner. We incorrectly thought we could order off the regular menu (our fault for not checking) so we had to order off the preset menu. $175 a person for half an app, half a secondary, and a a full main meal was not a fair price. The food was good, but we were not impressed for the price. Living in Houston we have great food, for less money, so it was not a bad dinner by any means but it was just very over priced. After one drink and tip, it was almost $500.

   Always a fantastic meal. Of special note this time were the Potatoes Au Gratin. Out of this world! Thanks to Jean Paul and the staff for a wonderful night.
