The Stewart is an intimate bar-and-lounge in the heart of Easton, MD, with an unparalleled focus on the very finest of single malt Scotch whiskeys and vintage Champagnes. Upon entrance, guests are transported to a sphere of sheer refinement and spirit sophistication where one of the most impressive assemblages of Scotch in America is gloriously ensconced in the eloquent Federal Street enclave. An elegant evening progresses in an atmosphere of updated and distinguished Highland splendor: gleaming dark woods, handsomely refurbished period seating, gilt-framed oil paintings of Highland scenes, an intricately pargeted plaster ceiling, and, naturally, tartans galore. A crackling fire in the cooler months provides cozy ambient undertones within an 18th century walnut and brass trumeau chimney.

Food and service very good. Our group had 5 glasses of Bordeaux. When I paid the bill I found out that they charge $44 per glass. One: a little warning would be nice on that price. Two: it was a nice but not particularly great wine. So the value was not there at all.

We went to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday with a party of 5 which was a little awkward since the seating area is already tight and adding an extra chair to a four top made it even tighter. Service was great, staff was excellent and provided great recommendations for cocktails and scotch before and after our meals and wine to have with our meals. The service and food were excellent and made the prices which seem to be inflated by the DC weekenders a little less painful.

Like all of BluePoint Hospitality's venues, The Stewart, far exceeds quality, ambiance and service well beyond one's expectations for a small town lounge and small plates establishment. We enjoyed a very nice meal and drinks on Valentine's Day weekend. All tables were full, so it was a bit loud compared to prior visits. As usual, wait staff was attentive and very professional. The lamb lollipops and scallops were excellent. The Mochiko Chicken was good but I don't think I'd order it again. The sushi was very good, short of excellent- the California roll although tasty was rather cold suggesting that it had been made earlier and taken straight from fridge to table. My wife loved her Chocolate Mousse desert; I've had better toffee pudding (albiet in England). We really love this venue and are anxious to come back but I should think ahead to ask for one of the tables that better accommodate a tall person with long legs. Finally, I would recommend that the marble table tops be buffed as they are showing excessive water marks/stains etc.

Two things detracted from an otherwise excellent evening. The first was that we were initially seated at the bar, in spite of a well in advance reservation for two. Upon request we were properly seated. Secondly, this is the third time I have eaten here and last night was the second time the coffee/espresso maker was down. Service was excellent, and the food was great.

We were seated by a window and moved over one table because the chairs were uncomfortable and it was drafty by the window. They sat the next couple that came in right next to us where we originally sat with a foot distance between our tables. The entire restaurant was empty. Granted a large group came in as we were paying our check but our evening was shared with another couple. Made it very difficult to just focus on us. The other couple were very nice but they also didn’t expect a party of four. Drinks were excellent. Bartender was the best.

We truly enjoyed our experience at The Stewart. The space was beautiful and welcoming, the service was excellent. The menu offered interesting choices that were well prepared and delicious.

Food and service were amazing and honestly it’s hard to do this review because the only bad part was that the seating was SO uncomfortable it ruined the rest of a great experience. We are of average weight/height and I can’t fully explain why but the seats and tables looked great, but were the worst combination. We watched multiple people around us struggle as well.
