The Stirling Dining Room and Lounge is the Malcolm Hotel’s casual dining experience featuring Alberta’s finest local ingredients. In addition to an amazing meal, enjoy a variety of craft beers, in-house prepared cocktails, and one of Canmore’s best wine lists. The dining room provides incredible views of Policeman’s Creek and the surrounding mountains, and the lounge offers comfortable private booths and walls of TVs – a perfect place to cheer on your favorite sports team. Both the dining room and lounge are ideal locations to hang out with friends and family, and enjoy Chef Graham’s culinary creations.

Friday and Saturday evenings, The King’s Table in the Stirling is the fine dining experience at the Malcolm Hotel. Chef Graham and our food and beverage team will host an evening you will not soon forget.

We didn’t order from the top of the menu, but the meal was adequate but not hot upon delivery. Service was great and the restaurant is beautiful.

We went for afternoon tea for my mom’s birthday. Lovely ambience, fantastic tea, beautiful food, and great service. My mom loved it. 100% recommend.

We had brunch here because we were staying at the hotel but I would come back even if I wasn’t staying here. The breakfast potatoes were amazing, the quality of ingredients was very good and the preparation was perfect. I’d highly recommend!

Amazing food! Sunday Prime Rib Buffet was fresh and delicious. Tenderloin was perfect! Service was spectacular with Jacob!

My husband and I came for high tea, and it exceeded our expectations! Our waitress was so kind and knowledgeable, giving us fun facts and guided us along the way as we had never done a high tea before. We were celebrating a birthday, and the chef even made me a small cake on top of our amazing spread! I highly recommend, and we will be back to do this again one day!

Overall we were disappointed. I would not recommend dining here. We were seated by the host and then waited 10-15 minutes for anyone to greet us or give us water. We ordered food once the primary server came by to take our order (over 25 minutes from the time we were seated.) The restaurant was not crowded, but apparently was under-staffed based on service. Drinks took another 10 minutes and the server forgot our bread service order (we ordered everything in one sitting since it took so long to have a server). I had the French onion soup which tasted like balsamic vinaigrette. The milk loaf bread was good, but was overly toasted/burned. The pasta with bison was tasty, but the ratio of sauce to pasta was heavy on the sauce; however our server graciously brought more pasta since there was so much sauce remaining. From the marketing and star-rating we expected a better experience.

Enjoyed our salmon and steak and lobster. Food was very good and a pretty good value for this location (mountain resort, higher end establishment). great live music (guitar). Place was reasonably busy for a Thurs night, and our server seemed stretched - I had to grab my own flatware from a neighboring table after mine was bussed away following the salad. Other than desiring just a little more attentive service we enjoyed Stirling.

Came for a sit down dinner in the restaurant dining room. Great views, great service and great food. We were not disappointed. Will be back again and highly recommend.
