   Loved the pre-theatre menu, excellent value for money. Enjoyed the happy hour cocktails too! Very friendly and attentive service. We would definitely go to the Stoke House again.

   We were visiting, this restaurant was recommended by the hotel. The wings were flavorful, the Caesar salad was great! I had the short rib, flavor was there, but I, and maybe it’s me, think the meat should fall apart and off the bone. 12 hours in a smoker, that was my expectation. A bit fatty, a bit tough. Pork chop, again, flavor was good but a thin chop. One thing, for * seasoned * martini drinkers, mixologists, dry means a rinse around the glass with dry vermouth, gin shaken until icy, chilled glass, olives, no pits.

   Table for 6 late lunch on Saturday. Restaurant wasn’t busy but still good ambiance. Food was cooked well, but small portions for the price on the main menu- theatre menu was a better offer.

   The restaurant and service was good but unfortunately the food was the worst, overpriced and we were all disappointed with our meals. The roast potato’s were very stale and this was the only options apart from seasonal greens that was a bit of cress. I wouldn’t return and urge those looking at the reviews to book somewhere else.

   Prompt and tasty pre theatre menu. Service comes well with one party arriving late and joining only for the main course. However, advance notes re quiet seating to make hearing easier had not been actioned, although table was actually quiet enough. We also had 2 gluten free diners: the restaurant was able to cater for them ,and adjust dishes but had no allergie markers.

   Super Lunch experience. Staff so friendly, lovely cocktails and wine and a really good menu, so many items we wanted to try... we'll have to go back. Dined for lunch so it was quiet but nonetheless enjoyable, can imagine there is a great atmosphere on a busy evening. Steak beautiful quality meat, perfectly charred and cooked exactly as we hoped. Hope to return.

   Ate here a couple of times as we were staying close by and wanted to eat somewhere convenient after a long day. The Pre-theatre menu was a bit limited but very good value and I had decent steak which was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed a couple of happy hour cocktails which were really cheap. Despite being busy the atmosphere was relaxed and the service friendly and efficient. Would certainly recommend.

    Sadly this was not a great experience. Despite being the first table to be seated, and the second table to order, the food didn't come out together. When it did arrive, the steak was overcooked and the Mac and cheese was cold. The roast was good but the bill of £115 (which included a refund for the Mac and cheese and some money back for the overcooked steak) was a bitter pill to swallow. I hope this was just a bad day as the website promised much more.
