   Quite fantastic lunch out with friends. Our favourite place. Staff wonderful, menu wonderful, food spectacular. And a guest with allergies well catered for by well informed staff. Joy

   Excellent! Really loved the food, superb quality and taste. Every member of staff was polite and friendly. A little on the expensive side, beyond value for money, much as it was a fabulous experience.

   Tom and his team were fantastic in accommodating our requirements. The service was superb, the staff were just brilliant, always smiling, very friendly and knowledgeable also 10/10. The food was superb. It is our second visit and we still haven’t found any restaurant better in the area. The Tandoori Tempura Scampi Monkfish starter was absolutely phenomenal and deserves a prize, that would have received 11/10! The only issue for us was my 14 year old complaining about the fact that the fabulous Lancashire Hotpot that he chose on our last visit wasn’t on the menu and he was extremely disappointed, until he tasted the Schnitzel and gave that 10/10 also!!!!!!    We were originally supposed to be a party of 8 however after some cancellations it turned out to be just 2 of us. I called the pub but there was no answer and the mailbox was full. I left my number on the open table app and Tom called me back he had never issues changing our booking. When we arrived we were sat down at our table Tom came and introduced himself. The staff were all so lovely and very attentive. The pubs atmosphere was buzzing but not to noisy, lovely decor and a warm family feeling. The food was fresh piping hot and cooked to perfection, we would recommend to anyone. We will be returning no doubt about that.

   I love this place! The ambient setting with happy customers, the friendly team who are so professional and the freshness of the food that is amply portioned and beautifully presented. Pricing is so reasonable for the quality and service. They are deservedly busy all year round - I highly recommend! Thank you Sword team!

    Excellent friendly service. I had the roast beef and my partner had roast pork . Both were excellent. The sticky toffee pudding was also really good . We will visit again .
