Built in the 14th century when the population of the village was just twenty, The Thatch Inn is one of the county’s oldest and most historic buildings & still full of its original features and character.
Our mission is to deliver well cooked, simple & recognisable food with great flavours. Our talented and enthusiastic team source produce locally where possible and created menus offering light bites to British classics.

Our renowned Sunday Lunch is generally available all day until 5pm (or until the roast is all gone, whichever is soonest!).

Such a fun find thanks to Open Table! Great service, absolutely delish food (my Texan husband has been RAVING about the Texas brisket burger nonstop since we left), fabulous ambiance (the fire was on point) and just an over all lovely lunch date. Will be back!

Staff not wearing visors/masks, very quick half hearted wipe of tables after meals, no antibacterial spray used, seats not cleaned. An hour’s wait for food, only six people in. Food poor, parsnips tough, roast potatoes very hard. Didn’t stay for dessert or coffee. Won’t be returning, won’t recommend.

We stayed at the Thatch Inn for a couple of nights the breakfast was lovely and evening meal very good all cooked fresh to order

It was an absolute pleasure to eat at The Thatch Inn, which is testament to the exceptional customer service provided by Vikki & Vikki (yes both ladies are called the same!). Quality food, perfectly cooked and at a reasonable price, we will definitely be back!

We had a great time, enjoyed are lovely food although we were a bit disappointed we couldn’t have Sunday Roast.

Best Sunday lunch out for a long long time. Staff were brilliant, really friendly, just a slightly longer wait than we might have thought, but wow! Was it worth it. We did share a starter and then had the beef. Nom nom!! We were stuffed! Food was lovely and more than enough of it. Place was spotless and followed all the COVID 19 regulations well. We will be back on a regular basis. Thank you all at The Thatch
