Sally, Dave and their team at The Throckmorton, Coughton look forward to greeting you.

Following a major refurbishment in Autumn 2014 under the new ownership, Sally and Dave pride themselves on offering fresh, local, homemade food every day from 9am to 9pm.

The various menus include restaurant quality seasonal dishes from the ‘Chef’s Recommendations’ section through to a great selection of fresh fish and tasty steaks.

Excellent food & service. Much lighter & warmer. Liked refurbishment. Staff very pleasant. Food consistently good quality. I like small haddock. Would recommend a visit. Friends we were with, - very impressed.

First time there in years. The Throck has been tastefully renovated and the staff were warm and welcoming. Drinks arrived quickly and starters too. Bit more of a wait for the main courses but there was five of us. Food was great! Chose off the evening weekday menu which is great value. Food was beautifully cooked and good sized portions. The whole evening was great value for money and look forward to returning.

Lovely choice of excellent food. Service good. We would certainly recommend a visit. And look forward to returning to the Throckmorton.

First time to the Throckmorton as we’ve tried most of the pubs around Alcester but wanted a change. Looked on Tripadvisor and most comments were positive so we tried it and were greeted by a busy friendly pub. Nice attentive staff, good menu quick service. All of us enjoyed the food and empty plates all round. Even went for a couple of puddings. Will come again for sure.

Food very poor, burger and bun was both overcooked and hard, it was served with a battered gherkin which was awful, best thing about the meal was the chips. The waitress asked how the meal was, we told her it was overcooked and not very nice, she noted our comments but we still had to pay the full bill. This is a place we will not be visiting again ever.

We ate from the lunchtime special menu. I had a tasty spaghetti with chicken, they bought parmesan when asked. Then I had a creme brulé, very nice. I would go again.
