Following a major refurbishment in Autumn 2014 under the new ownership, Sally and Dave pride themselves on offering fresh, local, homemade food every day from 9am to 9pm.




The various menus include restaurant quality seasonal dishes from the ‘Chef’s Recommendations’ section through to a great selection of fresh fish and tasty steaks.

    Although we enjoyed the festive meal we had this lunchtime we didn't think it was as good as the same meal last year. The use of turkey roll instead of sliced breast was disappointing, as was the lack of a Santa hat each and crackers like last time. A pity.

    Absolutely lovely Sunday dinner, fresh veg, generous cuts of meat and all the trimmings. Service was great … I’d highly recommend The Throckmorton .

    We had the table we requested enabling us to have a comfortable chat. Sensible gift of the proseco as everyone was driving. Lovely food. Relaxing atmosphere. Good start to Christmas.
