   I will start by saying that Rachel is a pleasant server. She is super sweet and gracious. I loved her festive earrings and happy spirit. The drinks were also prepared nicely and tasty. The complimentary bread and tomato sauce were super tasty. We started our meal with the fried risotto balls. They were super flavorful, but the texture was a trip up for us. I believe our bias kept us from enjoying that appetizer. That was our first time trying risotto and the texture shocked us a bit. Unfortunately, the main entrees were subpar for us. I tried the whole Branzino fish. While it was nicely seasoned, I sensed that the fish was not necessarily fresh. I think a local fish, like red fish, grouper or flounder would suit that dish better. The greens and polenta was not terrible but not the best. My girlfriend ordered the beef short ribs. The sauce base reminded her too much of a low grade barbecue sauce. She was also expecting a bone, but it ended up being slices of what seemed to be low grade meat. The ambiance of the dining room is very nice. I believe a revamping of the menu would serve The Trellis Room well. I want to thank every one for the assistance with my girl friend's cheesecake presentation. Singing happy birthday was a nice touch. I did not catch the young man's name who assisted with that. It was a wonderful night and I appreciate you all!

   Overall we enjoyed our evening. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and was beautiful to walk around and see the hotel's history and Christmas diplay. The dinner started with a disheveled and seemingly unhappy hostess. She certainly could care less that we were there. Our waitress, Rachel was pleasant and very friendly. She was knowledgeable about the menu and shared some details about the hotel's hstory. My wife had the scallops and I had the mushroom alfredo with steak. My wife did not like the scallops and only ate half of her meal. She stated that something was off with the scallops and did not appreciate the bacon risotto. My alfredo was good and very rich. The steak was properly prepared and seasoned well.

   We celebrated my husband’s birthday with brunch at the Trellis room. It’s one of our favorite restaurants. It never disappoints. We both had the filet medallions with spinach, eggs, (mine were scrambled and his were over easy) and toast (wheat for me and sour dough for him). It was delicious! We had the strawberry cheesecake for dessert. It was fabulous! I’m from NY originally and I usually don’t like Mobile’s cheesecake because it is usually light soft and has a pudding consistency. Not this one. I felt like I was at back at Junior’s! Yummy!

   Food was excellent! Rachel our server was excellent! Overall, our experience was great,the variety of food selections were just right as was the wine selection! Will definitely visit again!

   I understand that things happen. But this was a lackluster experience entirely. They did not have enough help. We waited 20 minutes to see a server and get water. The food was not good.

   Food was just ok. Ordered braised ribs. Ribs presented as medallions? Taste was just not there. Have had a lot of braised short ribs. These were the worst I have ever had.

    Went for brunch, overall the food was good. They did not have pancakes available, so French toast was ordered in place of, and it was not so good, seems like they tried to hard to make it something it shouldn't be. Also, they were out of espresso, But overall we enjoyed our dining experience there.
