service was very slow even though it was empty, the server was very nice, but food and drink etc took ages

We were super surprised to see we were the only people in the restaurant at 2pm for Sunday Roast. The venue is great, with great views, good service and food. No idea why it was sooooo quiet, it was a shame as we thought it was good. Just could have done with more people there. Maybe as it was on the pricier side at £24 for a beef roast? Hope with more advertising or something it would bring in the customers???

A fantastic lunch experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Every dish we tried was well-balanced and delicious. Highly recommend for a great midday meal!

We dined here recently and the food is excellent. I had Venison with potatoes and my partner had the steak with chips and salad. We had the artichoke soup as the starter and my partner had a dessert (I can’t remember now which one but it was lovely). The waitresses were very polite. The reason for the 4 stars is that we another couple sat behind us had ordered similar to us but were served before us. When we were sat at the table before them.

Afternoon tea - no one in the restaurant. No variety of cakes, selection was poor where they just put repeated the same cake twice per person.

The setting is beautiful, it very noisy in the restaurant, the food was nice when it evetually came, the waitress was very pleasant but the time element of the service was very poor, waiting 30 minutes between courses, drinks that didn't arrive and having to ask twice for last course.
