    This was an unusual lunch menu, heavy on salads and appetizers with a fish course and a burger. Not that I minded the small plates but I didn’t see the value in a small cup of soup for $19. Not many people were there either so it was super quiet. We had very good and friendly service but it didn’t impress me enough to return.

    Service slow and limited menu and no substitutions. At the price point you should at least serve mash potatoes rather than French fries with filet and poor salad. Recommend music outside.

    Our dinner reservation cation was made for 8:30 in the garden. From the moment we arrived the staff was amazing. The establishment itself is breathtaking. Our waiter ( Paublo) was such a wonderful young man and so full of knowledge on The Vanderbilt. Our food was delicious and the garden atmosphere takes your breathe away. If I had to give one thumbs down, a table away had two smaller dogs that joined them for dinner that decided to bark the whole time. I’m not a fan of dogs at finer dining.

    We had to wait a bit to be seated, but I imagine that was due to the short-staffing that all restaurants are experiencing. After that, everything was excellent. The sommelier did sn excellent job of saving our bottle of wine from a faulty, difficult cork. Great food with portions sized perfectly.

    Exquisite recently renovated decor bringing the Vanderbilt to a higher expectation of elegance and service.

    Sat outside, service was slow, took a long time to get tap water, never received ice we requested, took a long time to get our food but once received was delicious, ordered coffee and dessert and when it was finally received coffee slipped off tray and waitress burned herself. Coffee was also spilled all over table and my dress, was not only charged for coffee but took forever to get the bill. Maybe service would have been different if we had dined indoors? Tables near us also had dogs barking and kids crying, otherwise atmosphere and music was nice. Just wish service had been a better.

    Menu was very limited with very little seafood options and it is Newport. What we had was good however for the price the portions were small and $18 for a green salad is a bit much. Service was good, Martini's were not.
