My husband and I have been regulars since the restaurant opened. We would travel about 30 minutes from our house to enjoy the weekend brunch with no complaints. We were so excited to finally make it over for dinner. We made a reservation weeks in advance to celebrate Valentine's Day. It was our gift to each other. However, the gift didn't happen. We arrived promptly for our reserved time (which was confirmed twice). We were seated with menus and water. We waited and watched others get served. We are patient people and took the extra time to talk about our day. We realized it was a busy night. We continued to wait, but time was passing and no one had even taken our drink order. We continued to wait and be patient, until we decided to leave after waiting over 30 minutes. We realized we were not going to be served. We watched as others kept coming in after us and they were getting their food. We made eye contact with the staff but no luck until we were leaving and my husband made sure they knew we didn't didn't get served. We were very disappointed because we had looked forward to this special dinner for weeks.

The waitress was and help-full. The food not so great. My wife had the roasted chicken with garlic green beans and couscous. The chicken and couscous were good. The beans were overcooked and under flavored. I had the 8 oz sirloin steak with the Gouda Mac and cheese and green beans. With a wedge salad. The salad was great. My steak however was cooked to the right temperature (medium), but was super tough and stringy. Hard to chew, not tender at all. I don’t even think it was a sirloin, more like stew meat. The gouda mac and cheese was a very small portion a was very dry and hide very little sauce. The atmosphere was okay. For having a dress code supposedly, we were the only ones to adhere to it. The bar area was loud at times, with people watching a game, talking loudly, and yelling. We were expecting a nice, elegant experience with great dining, and we didn’t get it. I don’t want to take anything away from the staff and our waitress; they were great.friendly

Went for NYE and had to wait an hour for our entrees—others who were seated after us were being served before we were. They weren’t packed (definitely not empty though), and there was a limited menu. I had pork chops and my husband had chicken, so nothing that would’ve justified an hour wait. Food was good, and ambience was nice. We’ve eaten here a few times before.

The Varsity Club gave us a great meal in terms of food. The She Crab Soup was good and full of crab. The Schoolhouse Salad was a great salad. We had the pork chop and trout. Both were excellent. The only negative was the service. I’m pretty sure there was only one server for the entire restaurant and the dining room was about 80% full. There were definitely some assistants, but only one woman was taking orders, etc. we waited 27 minutes before our order was taken. Food was great. But there need to be several more servers.

Always special evening. Olivia and Corey professional and most welcomingly. Look forward to your changes next year and the opening of Bones Diner.

Very close to the Greenbrier, but less pricey. Good food and service.

Bar tender and wait staff (Olivia) were very helpful and attentive. Enjoyed our visit. The only negative was the alcoholic drinks were a bit weak but did not hamper our evening. Enjoyed the rooftop view and will be back.
