We went to have a roast dinner around 3pm, ordering was very fast and drinks delivered quickly, when the food came, the veg came out to share between 2, I personally think that it was not enough veg for everyone, the pork was OK but when we tried to cut the chicken and it was rubbery and very tough and basically inedible. The chicken tasted like it was cooked and then kept hot for hours. When we called the server over we explained that the chicken was not good and asked if we could get another portion of chicken. The server came out 5 minutes later with a portion of chicken and it was exactly the same, I gave up with the chicken and also the roast potatoes as they were quite hard. No one came to check if our replacement chicken was okay and after everyone finished their food (minus the chicken ) we waited for someone to clear so we could bring up the issue again but waited over 15 minutes before we pulled someone over, the servers were lovely and understanding but originally offered 10% off but we felt that really wasn't enough as I only ate some veg, another server came over and we agreed that my meal would be free due to me just eating the veg but my daughter who had the chicken as well would pay full price as she ate everything but the chicken. We agreed to pay minus the one meal and when leaving the server said that if we were to return, she suggested coming earlier so it is freshly cooked, meaning my earlier observation of the chicken just being kept warm was right. I don't think we will return and just a note to the view, please do not serve food after a certain time if the quality of food is not to a good standard.

Food was good good value for money. Very nice scenery. Staff very polite.

We went for Sunday lunch which was served swiftly but the food could have been much hotter as it was only luke warm. The beef and pork were delicious but we weren’t too sure about the potatoes being “roasted” ones. The Eaton Mess had more cream than meringue so it was a little disappointing.

Really good service and food was amazing, really good with the kids very pleased with our time and money spent

Food was delicious and hot BUT the service was appalling - slow, got orders wrong and charged us someone elses' check. Because its in an open room the noise level was high and it wasn't even full, making for an unpleasant experience. They need more staff, staff focussed on one customer at a time, focussed on the customers and not their mates.

I took my fiancé for breakfast on the 24th of May at 9am for her birthday which was supposed to be a nice start to her day. We ordered our food at 9:05. Our drinks came out 10 minutes later. That's OK. Got to 10am and nobody had come over to us and no food was brought over. The waitress had been sat on the sofa on her mobile this whole time but we didn't want to be rude and chase her up. Eventually though I had to say something. I had asked where our order was to which she said she will go chase it up. She came out to our table still with no food and explained they were having trouble with the ovens apparently due to the workmen tripping the fuses out??? I gave it 10 more minutes but by this point it was now 10:15 and we had to leave because my fiancé had to start work at 10:30. I went to inform the waitress but couldn't see any staff anywhere. A couple if minutes later she came through the kitchen/bar door with our food but at the point it was too late. I told her we had to leave and she just apologised and said we didn't have to pay our drinks or meal. Really disappointed after looking forward to a lovely breakfast for my fiancé's birthday.

We went for Sunday roast which, when it eventually arrived, was beautiful. Service was a bit slow but they were aware of it and did their upmost to rectify it and apologise with a nice gesture. We left happy and with full tums!
