   We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch. Everything was cooked to perfection and good value. Only visiting the area so doubt we'll return but definitely to be recommended. Not a lot of choice but the 3 of us were happy with roast beef, roast pork and fish pie. Starters and puddings were certainly different and delicious. We also enjoyed the open kitchen watching the chefs in action.

   The new owners have closed off the once lovely 1st floor eating area and tried to cram loads of tables into the ground floor. This made the place feel small and I was being constantly bumped by staff and customers walking past me. The lovely ambience that this place once had has now gone. Food selection was limited and very expensive considering it was bland and nothing special. Drinks were also very expensive. We regularly ate in the vine tree but we won't be returning under this ownership unfortunately.

   Food was outstanding- we enjoyed the starters and mains none of the party were particularly fussed on the range of desserts.

   The Vine Tree is under new management. No longer dog friendly, but has kept a similar vibe for food and atmosphere. We had a Sunday roast which was nice, although ordering just one course isn't an option. Gift voucher from the previous owner wasn't accepted.

   Fantastic food, the best steak tartare I’ve ever eaten, and that treacle bread… mmm. Could maybe do with a few more vegetables with the dishes just to break up the delicious meat (not with the tartare, that would be madness, with the mains :D)

    A really lovely meal for our anniversary. The ‘amuse-bouche’ roll & butter were both divine!! I had the parfait to start & my husband had the smoked egg & mushroom, both delicious, but my pork chop & mash main was to die for, as was the cod my husband chose,the best meal hes ever had apparently!!! Would absolutely visit again the next time we come to the area. Very enjoyable & the cost reasonable too!!!
