    Didn't eat food . The wick is kind of a sticky floor and table kind of place , looks great for drinks 🍸 with friends and for a younger age group. It was cold too

    Booked our table showed up on time got seated and waited for over 15 minutes and got no menus the noise volume was too loud social diststansing from some tables was appalling ended up getting up and leaving to then find out our table was cancelled 3 minutes before we arrived will not be booking again on a weekend they cater more to people going out than those wanting a nice sit down meal.

    The food was lovely, but the service was horrific! 20 mins wait for drinks, to have only one turn up then! We asked to order food, and she said we’d already ordered. When the food arrived, she threw 2 plates down, and said she didn’t know what was what, so we’d have to sort! Then we had to ask for cutlery! I wouldn’t mind if it was busy, but it wasn’t! Would probably order a take out, but won’t be going in again

    We went to The Wick to try it whilst they were taking part in the 50% off. When we entered, we were just stared at by the several members of staff that were stood behind the bar, no smiles on any of their faces. It took at least 10 seconds of us standing there for one of them to actually say hello. After we ordered, we waited at least 30 minutes, which as there only seemed to be 5/6 other tables in the restaurant, seemed like a long time to have to wait for 2 pizzas. The girl who brought the food clearly didn’t know which table was which as she just said “is this table 2?” When she turned up with the food, which I don’t think is how you’d expect to be greeted. We decided to order desserts, which got brought to us with no cutlery and by the time we were brought spoons, the ice cream on top of my dessert had melted, cause the sauce form my sticky Toffee pudding to spill onto the table, as for some reason it was served on a small plate. Overall the food was nice for the price we paid with the 50% off but the night was spoiled by the service and the lack of politeness from the majority of the staff we were served by. Also, it wasn’t ideal for our first meal out together since the start of lockdown that we were sat on a table next to a group of girls who were 16/17 and spent the whole of the time we were there cackling with laughter and taking photos of each other with a flashing camera every 5 minutes. I had specified on the booking that we were on a “date” so I thought this might of meant a nicer positioned table.

    Excellent meal, spacious areas to eat, lovely and peaceful with music in the background. Great atmosphere and feel. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Will be returning without a doubt!!
