- Overall 1

- Service 1
- Ambience 5
I visited today The Wilde on 27 with my family for a food vlog, and while there were some positives, our experience was ultimately overshadowed by poor service.
First, the interior of the restaurant was stunning. I loved the ambiance—it was warm, inviting, and made for a great setting for our food vlog. The bartenders were exceptional as well, offering polite and helpful service, which was a great start to our visit.
We arrived at 3:30 PM and ordered some vegetarian starters, which were delicious. Afterward, we moved to a different table around 5:00 PM to continue our meal and place our final order. This is where things started to take a turn for the worse.
Our server, Ms. Marla, was quite rude. We were taking our time to decide on the menu, as we were still full from the starters, but she was impatient and literally took the menu out of our hands. Her attitude was unprofessional and dismissive, and to make matters worse, she was not at all polite to our 5-year-old daughter.
We were a party of five, including two kids, and even though we were already satisfied with the starters, she seemed upset that we didn’t order more. We only ordered two additional items, but that seemed to frustrate her. We were so uncomfortable by her behavior that we decided to leave. To make matters worse, we noticed her laughing at us with her colleagues from the corner, which was both unwelcoming and unprofessional.
Ms. Marla did not ask us for any feedback on our meal or offer us dessert, which is a common courtesy in most restaurants. In fact, she had our bill ready and in her pocket before we even asked for it, which made us feel rushed and unwelcome.
Overall, the starters & ambiance were great, but the service from Ms. Marla left much to be desired. I hope management takes note of the importance of training their staff to provide a welcoming and respectful experience, especially for families.
