   Went to The Winsor House at Island Creek Oyster Farm for the first time this past weekend. We had heard from family and friends that it was well decorated for Christmas, and that was all we needed to hear to make the trip. The vibes were immaculate. It was very easy to see that even without the holiday decorations, that it would be the same. Cozy breakdown of rooms, well set up dining areas, etc. We absolutely loved the burger. The drinks were amazing, definitely recommend Elevator to the Gallows and trying the holiday specials. We cannot wait to come back in the summer !

   Absolutely horrible service. Our food was okay. Waited forever for it to finally come and it was cold. Our server, Kelsey, was totally out to lunch. We were done with dinner and waited about a half hour for her to bring a dessert menu. Instead, she went over to another server and loudly asked if she could transfer her tables to him since she had been there all day. Overall, brutal experience. I’d expect more when dining in Duxbury. After reading some additional reviews, it’s clear service is an issue. Hopefully management sees these reviews and providers additional training for their staff.

   We didn’t have the best experience here this time and we haven’t been back in a while because the menu was repetitive and over priced at our last visit. Tonight started with the waitress telling me that they couldn’t make me the drink on their cocktail menu because they didn’t have one of the ingredients. I asked the waitress if I could get it without the missing ingredient and she said no you can’t…what? I don’t get it, but didn’t challenge her because I didn’t have the energy and so I ordered a regular drink. Appetizers came and were almost finished when the drink finally came, dinner arrived and after some time I ordered another drink which took another 20 minutes to land on the table. We paid our bill and then the waitress came and offered us a desert on the house because the drinks were late to the table- we accepted and waited another 20 minutes-still no desert and so we just left. The Oysters were excellent and the fried broccoli yummy, the Salmon was delicious, but small and the Seared Tuna was delicious. Glad to see there was some new and affordable options on the menu this time. The biggest deterrent was the service.

   We were so excited to celebrate my husbands birthday here but were left truly disappointed by the lackluster service. Our server, Annie, seemingly wanted nothing to do with us. We apologized that our dinner companions were late (20 mins) and we ordered drinks and apps while we waited, but she seemed put out by having to attend to us. She was hard to find the rest of the evening which is understandable for a Friday night, but then left us in the care of another server who was even less helpful. The server that took over tried boxing our food before all of us had finished eating and brought us the check without even asking if we wanted dessert (we did). At first, we wrote this off as they were perhaps trying to shut down for the night, however, shortly after we realize the same waitress had provided the table next to us at a dessert menu right after she had unceremoniously given us our bill. The food in ambience was great, however it was disappointing to not be able to sing happy birthday to my husband with dessert after spending a decent amount of money for a nice dinner. We will not be back.

    Quiet Sunday night dinner, food was great, we shared the beet salad and I had the Sunday special, a fried chicken dinner, three fried chicken breast (I ate two and took one home) mac& cheese and broccoli parmesan it was all excellent. My wife had the burger and fries. The homemade chocolate cake was delicious. The entire restaurant is decorated for Christmas and gives you a real holiday feel. Service was great definitely going back soon
