    my family and i go to tia carmen at the marriott every month to catch up on what is going on in everyone's life. we always sit outside and enjoy the ambience. we have been doing that for at least 12 years. the sunday brunch is divine. the wait staff is very attentive and cheerful. what's not to love?

    We are local and went to celebrate our anniversary. Food was average, but by no mean great. Our waiter was corny and didn’t have a clue about quality service. He left empty glasses and food/crumbs the entire meal. He brought a comped dessert and sat it down in the middle of used glasses & food remnants. Asked if we needed anything else - a utensil to eat said dessert with perhaps. It wasn’t until the very end that a friendly manager stopped by and she cleared table. We won’t be back. My guess is this restaurant wouldn’t survive outside a hotel.

    Food and service was excellent. Ambiance was impacted by the noise level but it was also a full restaurant. Great overall meal.

    The pork chop entree was the standout -might be the best I have ever had! Service was top notch. Every dish was artwork in a plate. We will be back when it’s warm enough to sit outside. Can’t wait!

    Tia Carmen is a must-dine experience whenever you’re visiting the Phoenix area. The service was incredible. The staff is passionate about their restaurant and it shows in the care they provide during your dining experience. The food was amazing; I tried the Pan Frito, Tuna Crudo, Ember Roasted Purple Yam and the 16oz ribeye. The Pan Frito dish had the perfect balance and sweet and spicy combining the serranos and cotija cheese with the honey butter. The Tuna Crudo was tender with a delicious corn coconut broth. The Ember Roasted Purple Yam had a light and fluffy queso sauce atop the smooth, delectable yam. And to complete the perfect meal, the 16oz ribeye. The bone marrow butter atop the ribeye made this perhaps the best steak I’ve ever experienced and I’ll certainly be back for many years to come. Thank you so much for making this an unforgettable experience!

    Food was good but not worth the price. Got the lamb and it was very good but came with no sides and our waiter did not recommend any sides when we ordered. Cocktails are way overpriced. 23$ for an old fashioned and I expect it to be phenomenal but it simply was not. All of the other cocktails were made $17+ and were absolutely not worth it, tasted like a cheap bar trying to be fancy.
