Tick Tock Diner, an iconic symbol of the American diner with locations in both Midtown Manhattan and Clifton, New Jersey, has mastered the art of casual dining, providing customers with high quality ingredients, generous portions at a reasonable price and a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere that keeps them coming back year after year.
The 280 seat Midtown Manhattan location opened in 1997 at 481 8th Avenue (corner of 34th Street), across the street from Penn Station. Tick Tock Diner has long been known for its American comfort food. Today, it remains true to tradition while offering more dining choices than ever before on its extensive menu, accented with Italian, Greek and Tex-Mex influences. Keeping in the diner tradition, breakfast is served all day, featuring more than a dozen omelets, farm fresh eggs any style, pancakes, Belgian waffles and French toast.

Because of its location, this place hops when something's happening at Madison Square Garden. We had a party of 12, but they do a nice job a keeping things moving though.

Can’t say enough about the great staff and service at TTD. They were so accommodating for our huge group and did their absolute best to ensure we had a great experience. Much appreciated!

First time going here to eat with my wifey. Coming in we wasn't greeted the best. Had a problem with my ESA dog. But then we was fitted anyway. The food was pricey for the amount you get. The tables do not move so makes it hard to move and if your a little over weight you have no room. We had three different people waiting on us. Food was cold when we got it. Tasted pretty good 👍. Overall not a bad place to eat but will never go back.

We really enjoyed our casual, comfortable dinner at Tick Tock Diner! We made reservations for six people at 6pm on a Monday night in February. We were greeted upon arrival and seated in a comfortable booth for six. The menu offers a great selection and includes breakfast all day. The cheeseburger was excellent and perfectly prepared to my request. In our group, one person had the French onion soup and a bagel, and said both were fine. Another had a chicken avocado wrap and said that it was one of the best she’s ever eaten. Our server was very efficient and made ordering and paying very easy. I would definitely return to the Tick Tock Diner.

Brilliant place with quick and smiling service. Large food portions. Will return before we have to return home.

Wait service was excellent. Food was delish. It was a freezing cold day in NY so when the door kept opening it made the room very cold.
