Food was ok. Not well presentable and in my opinion overpriced for what it was. The tuna was sliced raw tuna on a plate covered in sauce (which looked like tomato sauce when it landed on the table) although lacked presentation it was a tasty dish. the bang bang chicken salad was almost like a Ceasar salad with wilted leaves and satay sauce very unusual and not worth what it was priced ($45) in my own opinion. The prawn dish the prawns were so small and shells soft it was difficult to get much meat out of them, the Moreton bay bug dimsums were nice the dough quite thick and uneven. Accompanied by less than expected service. Having booked a couple of weeks before was surprised to be seated outside on a windy evening rather than inside where it was warm. Service was slow. I recognise it's a rather new restaurant for the area, always room for improvement. Not somewhere I would go out of my way to eat again. But worth a try if you like Asian fusion.

We were really looking forward to trying Wang Chung. Used to go to Tide occasionally and the idea of a good Asian fusion place in the same awesome location is very appealing! Unfortunately the food was really disappointing, we had a couple of oysters, some bug dumplings and some fried chicken with rice. The oysters were way too salty, not enough sweetness in the dressing. They didn’t taste good. The dumplings were well cooked, the casings were delicate, but the bug filling was bland. It could have been any white meat, had no seafood sweetness to it at all. Another fail. The fried chicken was pretty good, no complaints there. But it’s just fried chicken… The service was the real bright point. All the staff were friendly and attentive. God it would have been awful without the service! I hope they can find some way to lift the food a bit, there’s competition around Manly now, won’t last long at this standard.

This is an existing review on Google which I agree with totally..."Got suckered by the reviews of this place.Wasnt a good experience.Food was not good.scallops horrible.lobster roll was ok but not sure it was lobster or some processed thingy ,dumpling rubbery and again couldnt tell if it was bug. Extremely pricey for the food.Pity as its a beautiful spot and really hoped it would be top drawer."

last night restaurant had large window at front open , it was quiet cold . Menu is nice but small plates are very expensive , for the size of meal . service was ok . the service was rushed as limited staff . Waitress kept pouring wine in front of us instead of going to the side or behind . Sirloin large plate was nice shame it does'nt come with something for the price . Venue is lovely and the new fit out is certainly an improvement . All up nice position , improved changes to menu and venue .

The venue styling and general presentation feels rushed and a bit cheap. The food was average at best and on the expensive side. The service was awful, we got some water and a glass of wine when we sat down and weren’t offered a drink again. The wait staff were untrained and clearly not capable. It wasn’t exactly a busy evening either. Hopefully it improves. 3 out of 10 wouldn’t recommend.
