Only complaint is their website told us happy hour was 4pm-10pm. When we arrived they told us that is only on certain days

The food, drinks, and ambiance of Tokyo Pearl were fantastic. However, there was a lot of confusion about the happy hour with the staff so be wary. The website and the physical sign out front says the happy hour goes until 4-10 pm Tuesday through Sunday. But when we were sat, the physical menu said the happy hour only went until 7. We were sat at 7:45 under the guise that we would be able to order the happy hour prices, but we were told by a waiter that happy hour was over.   We then proceeded to order from the main menu - which, has a pretty large price difference in comparison to the happy hour menu. We were only told at the end of the meal that the happy hour was still applicable which was unfortunate because we drastically changed our menu orders due to the price difference.   Thankfully, our waiter honored the happy hour prices on the applicable menu items we ordered. But the unnecessary confusion already influenced us to order menu items that 1. weren’t on the happy hour menu,2. Were much more expensive and 3. took about 45 additional minutes to come out once we were done with the rest of our food and drink.  Overall, Tokyo Pearl could do well with properly briefing all of their staff on happy hour policies and times to ensure that this issue doesn’t sully the experience of others.

The website says happy hour is everyday til 10pm. I arrived at 6:45 and they informed me that happy hour ends at 7. Even in saying “the website says 10p”, they simply said “yeah, we know, it ends at 7”. In which their regular menu drinks are double the price. I asked if I could get 1 more happy hour drink at 7:01p and they said no. The service was lackluster, and frankly it was very “ballsy” of this place to then auto-charge TWENTY-TWO PERCENT (22%) gratuity. Not friendly, not demure. This place is not some upscale 5-star restaurant that can warrant 22%.

Tasty and fresh sushi. Ambience was quite nice. The food came quickly and was served as ready.

First time at Tokyo Pearl and everything that we ordered was delicious. The bao beef buns, the teriyaki salmon and garlic bok choy was very good. We ordered salmon bomb and double pearl specialty rolls were also good. Definitely will be back with more of my friends.

Super cute outside dining area. Happy hour goes until 6 every day which was a plus and the food and drinks were amazing. Only issue was the service was slow. There were 2-3 people trying to serve and seat everyone. Our waitress was gone for most of the time so it took forever to get the check
