Terra restaurant is located at Tottington Manor which is beautifully situated in the South Downs National Park with hillside and farmland views, yet it is just 10 minutes from the A23 at Pyecombe and the A27 at Shoreham.

With a menu showcasing the best of local ingredients cooked fresh each day by our team of chefs, you can enjoy dinner in the restaurant, or outside on our decking, or in winter time, choose our more relaxed fire side Olive Restaurant.

In addition we have a number of private dining options available from 6 to 95.

Our South Downs Suite is completely separate with its own private garden, stretch tent and bar and is ideal for family celebrations, parties and of course Weddings. Loved coming here for the first time. Great atmosphere and lovely decor. The food was amazing however not sure what went wrong with the stuffing. It was also an extra charge and it was very disappointing. Very dry and tasteless. The service unfortunately wasn’t great either. We had to ask to order every-time. Apart from that, super impressed with everything else

This was our first visit to Terra and was very impressed with everything. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was excellent and enjoyed our time there.

Food was delicious. Servers were attentive without feeling rushed. Booked for a birthday and they bought out a taster dessert with candle and birthday message on, which was a really lovely end to our evening. Great place for a special occasion.

First time back to Tottington in too long! Booked a reasonably last-minute Sunday Lunch and we were not disappointed. Everything, from reception on arrival, to service, food delivery and the actual food itself, was just superb. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect and the care and attention paid by the team was excellent in every respect; cannot fault it. We opted for the Sunday Roast; Tottington has a spin on the usual "pub roast" - slightly posher version but better in every way; the flavours and presentation was absolutely spot on, and thoroughly appreciated. We will return very soon. Thank you TeamTottington!

Disappointed !!! Dined in the olive lounge which we found cold and fire need not work. Radiator was turned up on request but with draft from front door opening , it did not get warm . Had Sunday roast however only given two roast potatoes each so we requested another one each as another couple had . We were told we had to pay extra £5 for a bowl of extra roasts which we did because would have been hungry however the bowl only had three in it. Very disappointing ! Please note standard green vegetables not included and you have to order separately and an extra charge. To top it off service charge was put on bill for £8 odd which we paid.

Hi Susette, I am so sorry that you were disappointed with your visit, it is unusual, particularly with the log burner fire and the large radiator in the room, whilst it was a particularly cold day outside I am sorry. Our Sunday Roasts do come with a selection of seasonal veg and potatoes, there is a great selection of veg as standard on our roast dishes but as you say if there are specific additional sides that you want they are also available. With regards to the roast potatoes, there should always be enough, and I wouldn't expect you to have to pay extra, this was a rare mistake and I will get this refunded to you. We had tried to get in touch by phone and left a voicemail as we prefer to discuss any serious concerns directly, I will try you again tomorrow.

We visited this restaurant with friends. I’m an avid Malbec lover but to be honest the bottle we ordered wasn’t fantastic but reasonably priced as far as restaurant prices go. The starter was not fantastic either to be honest, I’m trying to find something positive to say about it. I had the beetroot and goats cheese salad. There were very few pieces of beetroot and three or four whipped, piped blobs of goats cheese and some tapenade which I couldn’t even taste. My main was the seafood board which on the menu sounded delicious and quite huge but in reality was very disappointing. The seafood stew literally contained about three muscles in their shells a couple of clams and a couple of bits of chorizo, but no other fish that I could find and was served in a tiny bowl with no finger bowl or anywhere to put empty shells. There were two King prawns with their shells on which were lovely, a piece of sourdough which looks like the pre-sliced stuff you can get from the supermarket and some chunky chips which again were tasteless. The tempura hake was not what I would call tempura. It was thick and greasy, I could’ve rung it out to be honest! So I took the fish out of the batter and ate that. It just was very average to be honest, bland in taste uninspiring in presentation. I didn’t bother with dessert and was pleased I didn’t as two of our friends did and they just didn’t look appetising at all. Even the coffee wasn’t good. It’s a shame because on paper the menu reads well. The staff were perfectly pleasant, but one of them clearly didn’t even know which meat one of our friends had ordered when she delivered it to the table, they need a little more training.
