Townhouse is a stunning award winning restaurant and bar with an impressive garden and covered outside dining space. Our Head Chef Ryan McCartney (ex Social Eating House) has created a fabulous menu for all tastes from our famous Townhouse Burger to beautiful Roasted Cornish Cod with St Austell Mussels there really is a dish for everyone ! Just a short drive from Chester and Shrewsbury. Dogs are welcome in our bar and garden.

Wat a joke booked here in advance only time showed up was 8:30 pm so expected busy place ....turned up after driving hours ..to find place closed !!! Very disappointed

We booked The Townhouse as we have just moved to the area and wanted to host some friends who were visiting. After being given time to review the menu, when we tried to order we were told that of the 6 main courses that were listed, only 1 was available. I was completely shocked and bemused…. why were we even given the menu in the 1st place and why were we not contacted prior to our arrival to let us know they didnt have any food??? When we questioned this we were told that they were “rebranding” - I have no idea how this relates to the fact they had nothing to offer. What was even more frustrating was that if this was the case they would have known at the time that we made the booking but this wasnt communicated. I have never, ever visited a restaurant before and left without eating anything…… I was looking forward to The Townhouse becoming our new “go to” place but unfortunately I will never visit again and would encourage others not to bother either - very disappointing……

It was a very big special birthday and duck is my favourite main meal ! We were looking at restaurant menus online on Fri10th Jan and Townhouse had duck and quite a varied menu so we booked ! On arrival the whole building was freezing , even the staff said it maybe a little warmer in the restaurant) wasn’t) 😴We were given a different menu to the one advertised on line , no duck and very limited ! We all had steak, nice , alas the crackers with cheese and biscuits were soggy ! Staff lovely therefore I tipped them ! Over very very disappointing 🥲

An absolutely fantastic Christmas lunch . Good atmosphere and great staff . Highly recommended. Why would I cook after that !!

Let’s start with the welcoming smiles we get every time we walk in. The food we ordered (starter & a main) was truly delicious. The service was excellent as always. I can’t recommend the Town House enough.
