Upon our arrival, the host seated us rather quickly despite us arriving early. He was warm and kept upheld the theme of the low discretion carefully opening the door only enough for a curious eye to see inside Upon sitting down he advised the kitchen closed early which voided any opportunity to have a bite which was the intent of the evening. This was a huge disappointment and ultimately set the tone for a poor experience The light on the bar was illuminated brightly and offset the mood of the staged speakeasy lowly feel. The waypoint light to indicate guests have arrived glowed an oddly bright green in the shape of Godzilla which is super cool, but off putting and distracting since it’s so bright. The chairs weren’t cozy or comfortable in our table for 4 and lacked mobility for you to sit cross legged, and there was a rag and spray bottle ontop of the bar which was pretty unsanitary. Finally, the cocktails were good, the renditions of a Mexican candy bomb using whiskey was an interesting take, but the story of importing ice from Japan provided by the server was too laughable to bear. Especially when anyone in hospitality has gauged local ice sourced is around an extra dollar to procure, amidst tariffs and quality control - that’s just a really dumb story to sound interesting and destroys the credibility of the establishment. Still I liked our server, bartenders were rad but management needs to show up to compliment their staff with an adequate stage to do incredible work. I will not bother to return.

My friends and I had a great time ! I had been trying on and off for a few months to get a reservation and I finally got one ! Our server Dillon was amazing ! He asked us what songs we wanted to hear on the playlist while we were dining and he recommended some great food options . The Yuzu strawberry was my favorite drink . It was a perfect blend of mezcal and rum ,tasted like candy (dangerous!) we were given ample time to enjoy ourselves which was great . Everyone should check it out !

Gosh it was difficult to get a reservation! I kept checking back, and eventually I found two seats at the bar that wasn’t at 11:30 pm. The place is intimate, like the bars and izakayas in Tokyo. When not crafting coctails, the bar men are hand cutting ice balls from crystal clear ice flown in from Japan. Everything we tried was great and done in their own style, from the crudo to the chicken wings to the bun and more. The drinks were inventive and paired well with the food. I’ll definately return!

We were really hopefully for this place when we heard it was opening. But our expectations may have been too high. We ordered a variety of food, the blue fin tostada was overly sauced and the tostada was oily, the deviled eggs were very very salty, but the hand roll was good. As for the drinks the three drinks we wanted to order were all sold out? And so the ones we did order were a solid drink, but not necessarily the flavor profiles we generally go for.

Well worth it, it was my first time there. The waiters were very peteint and explaining the food and drinks. The bartenders know exactly what they are doing, drinks were amazing. We got the wasabi fries, corn dog and 3 hand rolls. Drinks the Astro Boy, kaiju and 2 other ones but my god the kaiju was amazing.

Great speakeasy! Small and intimate room. Music was a little too loud but still good vibes and good drinks. Didn’t have any food. Would go again!
