Tucked behind El Barrio Cantina in Long Beach, Tokyo Noir is an intimate 25-seat speakeasy with a side-alley entrance and world-class cocktail program, co-concepted by restaurateur/founder Jesse Duron and acclaimed mixologist Kevin Lee. As the only certified Ice Master outside of Japan, Lee has created a cocktail menu at Tokyo Noir that will make it a destination for serious bar culture fans, who want to experience the art and craft of cocktailing. The beverages are complemented by a robust izakaya-style menu from Chef Ulises Alfaro-Piñeda, with craveable small plates that go beyond bar snack expectations. As a whole, this discreet speakeasy concept will surprise locals and impress the industry.

Food service ends 11pm Weds,Thurs, and Sun. Midnight on Fri and Sat.
If you don't see reservations we are fully booked, we do take walk-ins if people no show.
Best time to try is at 5pm or after 11pm.

My friend and I have been wanting to try Tokyo Noir, but took us sometimes to get a reservation. We had a great experience at Tokyo Noir! The drinks and food were amazing!! We definitely will come back to try their sushi options and other drinks!

Beautiful place, clean and comfortable. The drinks were great and the bartenders were personable and entertaining to watch work. The food items were flat out delicious. We tried six different items and they were all equally great. We will definitely come back soon!

Had to wait 15 mins to be seated. Waited by the bathroom inside the restaurant attached. Server brought sushi on one plate and just dropped it off no explanation of what was what. The dropped off some squid next to me on the edge of the table. I didnt order it and didnt even know it was there until I set my elbow into it and ruined my jacket. Really soured the night and I was really excited to try this place and show it to my friends. Will not be coming back here

Drinks were very good. It was fun to watch the ice carving and see the different shapes for each glass. Bar bites were tasty but do not recommend counting on a full meal. We had the corn dogs, chicken wings, grilled squid, spicy tuna, and salmon. All of it was great.

Interesting drinks, and small plates. Best to sit at bar to watch drinks being made.

Great new space in LB. Good small bites. Well curated cocktails, a bit on the sweet side. Had reservations for bar seating, but was sat at a corner with stool seating. There were 4 seats at the bar, but when we inquired, they said they had us slated for the corner. Bummed.

I attended the NYE Experience here, which ran from 10 PM to 2 AM. Overall, I’d rate it three stars for the NYE night. For reference I am a local Long Beach resident in my early 30's. The Positives: The space had a charming, intimate vibe and was pleasantly uncrowded, which made it easy to enjoy the evening without feeling overwhelmed. The drinks were fantastic—definitely a highlight of the experience. The hors d'oeuvres were also very good as well (see comment below). The Negatives: The hors d'oeuvres were initially slow coming out, and when they did, one of the oysters I tried was still partially frozen, with crunchy ice in the center. The DJ missed the midnight countdown by a few seconds, which felt a bit disorganized, and the overall music flow wasn’t great, making it hard to really get into the dancing. We decided to leave shortly after midnight. While I’d definitely return for their regular reservations and hours, I’d probably pass on future events here.

Amazing experience, chill, casual and just cool. Good drinks, food is ok, highly recommend the chicken wings and edamame.

Great cocktails! Great atmosphere! Great service! Probably one of the best bars in Long Beach. Make sure you have a reservation otherwise you are not getting in.

I was honestly not as impressed as I thought I would be. The only thing we enjoyed was the music selection. The place was MUCH smaller than led on to be. Other than that, it left little to desire. Not sure I’d come back again.
