Coffee, eggs, pancakes, bagels, muffins, gifts and books! What more can anyone want? First time eating here and made reservations on OpenTable. There was really no need at 8am on a Sunday. Arrived a little past 8 and there was no one at the host stand. There was a sign indicating to seat yourself and use Toast to order from your table. No problem, we can work with this. I did see a waitperson a little later. After we ordered the coffee and food came quickly, The eggs Benedict was delicious. The bagel breakfast sandwich was really tasty too. The home fries could be crispier. My favorite was the mega tots; cheesy, deep fried, super crispy not at all greasy. Yum! Everything was so good we forgot to take pictures.

The food was convenient, not the best we had. The service was so slow. The cheesecakes were really nice.

Wonderful, caring staff! Excellent food. Last visit was 20 years ago. It was still just as good.

Love this place! Picture diner in a bookstore with all kinds of people. The food is excellent and the staff possibly even better. We have been three times during stays in Boston and look forward to being there. We really like sitting at the counter because the staff is so nice, and sometimes you end up talking to the people next to you which is always great!

AMAZING! Great coffee, fabulous breakfast, and some of the friendliest servers in the Back Bay. Reasonably priced with large portions. Win/win!
