We have combined the best of our prior locations into the ultimate casual Uptown destination. The historic 100 year old building that is our new home has reclaimed many elements. Tin Ceiling tiles adorn our main wall. Our Open Concept Kitchen allows you to see and smell our fantastic food as it is prepared. Our 14 seat semi-private dining area is the perfect place for a business lunch or family gathering. All our food is prepared in house and our 68 seat dining room allows us to manage every detail.

The squash soup and duck were fantastic! Best martini ever - butterscotch and vanilla! Manager greeted us at the door and was super friendly! All the staff were super attentive. We will definitely be back!

Food and service were both outstanding , I really liked the pace at which each course was brought out sometimes with a tasting menu it can take a while , but Trio had it bang on, the servers were very attentive. Benoit the food manager is very knowledgable about wine selections and super personable. We will defiantly be back often.

Benoit was amazing as always. Food just melted in my mouth. Sooo delicious! I had the duck and both my friends had the pork.

Trio is our favourite restaurant in Waterloo. The food is excellent, the service is excellent. Always a pleasure to go there

Yet again, Benoit, Jordan, and team made us feel beyond VIP. If I had a “call a friend” for best restaurant experiences, I’m calling Trio and this team. Thank you.

Very pleasant, eager and genuine service. Upscale flavours, with tremendous care and precision applied to the preparation and execution. Minimalist menu, which is necessary for this style of dining. Proteins/mains are possibly 4 ounces. Portion size is not listed on the menu for any of the mains, it is not a full chop or steak, you receive 2, perfectly cooked slices of beef possibly 3 slices for pork. Quality and precision is not cheap but for 80 dollars for the flat Iron steak, I felt very underwhelmed by the portion size. Spectacular taste but borderline tiny portion.

We tried the TAST last night for me birthday, it is Top notch, in my opinion Trio is the best restaurant in K-W region.
