   Overall customer service was great. Food did take a while to come out, however the manager was apologetic. Oysters were really good. I don't recommend the mac and cheese. There is no lump crab in it unless you inquire about getting a side of crab in it to add in. Also ordered a crab cake and fried oysters. Only took a bite of the crab cake and took the rest home. Started to eat the rest of it at home only to discover a piece of blond hair baked into the crab cake. Stick to the oysters and drinks if you decide to go.

   This place had us waiting as if they’re chick-fil-a except they did not acknowledged that waiting for water, bread, small plates, drinks would be an hour or more. Do Better. Snarky comments from staff with no resolve as if the patron is at fault for their short comings. Never again will I visit this place.

   This place is great. The food is fantastic as is the space. What I really like is that the food is creative but it's not trying to hard. Some restaurants just go overboard trying to make stuff overly fancy for fancy's sake and it all seems silly. Not True Chesapeake. They do it right.

   A very busy night. Great food and service. We plan to go back. It's one of our favorites here in Baltimore.

   We are repeat visitors to True Chesapeake, their oysters are incredible. But this meal was our best yet. Our server was excellent, very professional and efficient. Drinks and food items were delicious, and well-paced. We never felt rushed or delayed. An unexpected touch was a table side visit from the owner who stopped by to check on our experience. When he learned that our visit had special meaning for us (41st anniversary of our engagement), he learned what we liked and brought us a bourbon tasting! As we were just ordinary customers, this personal touch that made our great experience extraordinary. Why patronize a chain restaurant or establishment where you are just a number when you can have a great meal and also feel as though you truly matter? TC, please keep up the good work - you are a local gem!

   Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The atmosphere was very cool, refurbished industrial style and the service very friendly and attentive. My husband and I enjoyed our meal very much, starting with a delicious assortment of raw oysters!! We will definitely return!!

   Beautiful restaurant with an eclectic menu. Oysters were top notch and service was exceptional. Crab cake was very disappointing and overpriced.

   I made a reservation for my birthday and, the cutest touch was the signed birthday card on my table. I tried three small plates, the oyster shooter and rhe oyster on the half shell and all of them were amazingly yummy. I loved that the menu was so oyster focused with the oyster aoli in the steak tartar and oyster croutons in the Ceasar salad. We ended the evening with bourbon maple ice-cream and a pineapple rum. The icecream reminded me of homemade ice-cream.

    First time and definitely not the last! Food was amazing... gotta try the french onion oysters! Impressive wine list. Everybody was inviting and cheery during our visit. The owner came over to introduce himself and share some stories of the restaurant and answered any questions we had. That was a great touch! Would highly recommend for a date night and/or even some cocktails and apps at the bar for a chill night.
