   We went here to celebrate my birthday with my kids and mother. Everything was delicious and really loved that there were so many Gluten free and clearer options available.

   I recently dined at True Food Kitchen in the Boca Town Center Mall and had a mixed experience. The quality of the food was good — definitely the highlight of the visit. However, the overall experience fell short. The restaurant itself felt worn down and in need of a refresh. Additionally, I gave my name and number to the hostess to be notified when a table was ready, but I never received a text. After waiting for a while, I decided to make a reservation on OpenTable instead, which was frustrating. Once seated, I noticed that the table next to us hadn’t been cleared for quite some time, so we were left staring at dirty plates during our meal. Additionally, when I went to the bathroom, there were no paper towels, which only added to the sense that the place isn’t being maintained properly. Our server was polite but not very attentive, which detracted from the overall experience. While the food itself was good, I hope management addresses these operational and maintenance issues to create a more enjoyable dining environment.

   At 7pm my family walked in to an almost empty TrueFood in Boca Raton and I was told “we are not talking walk ins” went outside and made an OpenTable reservation, walked back in and said I have a reservation. Was then told, we are not going to honor that, we had some people not show up to work and we don’t want to seat anyone because it means more work for us. I’m wondering if next True Food will start a work from home policy so the staff won’t have the burden of pesky customers.

    The restaurant was extremely noisy with lots of kids running unsupervised around the tables. We raised 2 children and it's not hard to keep them entertained at the table vs screaming and running around. Part of the issue is that we ate early when families may have stopped before heading home - lesson learned.
