   We loved the food but I think the chocolate chip cookie dessert wasn’t completely dairy free as they suggested since I felt discomfort after so reducing one star

   We have eaten at True Food Kitchen for many years but the experience tonight was way below past performance. The service was slow and abrupt. The food was way below previous quality. For example the cauliflower is supposed to be warm and crispy and was cool and mushy. The Poke bowl was very salty and lukewarm. The ambience was even louder than usual making it very difficult to have a conversation. We won't go back for a while and hope this review helps the restaurant owners realize their quality is slipping dramatically.

   If you get seated at the tables immediately outside of the bar near the hostess stand and the kitchen pickup counter, you will have Uber Eats and Door Dash drivers standing near you waiting for their pickups while you are eating. It was that way the entire time we were there. Get a table farther away if you can.

   I’m more than a fan of true food I’ve been their number of times and the service is excellent. All the servers are genuine caring they all have smiles on their faces and the gentle manager. I’ve seen him multiple times always expediting food greeting his customers he is down to earth so approachable. The food is excellent. I had lasagna with the pesto. Oh my goodness I was so happy. I also had the edamame dumplings along with my favorite chop salad And the butternut squash soup! I love True Food! I feel at home and always welcomed!!!

   Love this restaurant. Love the food. Love the service. We usually have Robert and really like him. He was off and our waiter tonight was Dylan. Very nice waiter. Saw him working hard…large party behind us and he was even picking up and cleaning tables. Our HUGE disappointment was that the guacamole is now off the menu. We have been ordering this every time we come here for the last seven years.

   We've been regular guests at True Food Kitchen Palo Alto. The food generally continues to be very good with delicious and natural choices. However, service quality seems to have deteriorated. This time, they brought the appetizer without giving us plates. When they brought the main dishes the person delivering them didn't want to remove the empty appetizer plate first and there was barely room on the table for everything. The main dish didn't have the added tofu we had requested and our server had to go get it from the kitchen. It seems they are short staffed and not able to provide the required attention. This has happened the last couple of times, it's not an isolated occurrence.
