   Had a great experience getting dinner with a friend! Our server was Brandon, and he was so friendly and helpful - recommended great drinks and food, and really made the dinner an enjoyable experience! We come here often and love how fresh and healthy the food is.

   My friend and I had a lovely dinner. Since the restaurant wasn't very busy, we stayed long after we were done eating to chat. The food was excellent. My friend was so pleased with all the gluten-free options. The service was friendly throughout the time we were there.

   Hello, I’ve been, several times, to the True Food Kitchen in Stanford California, so was familiar with the atmosphere, wait staff engagement and the ambiance. At the Rio, our waitress started off, introducing herself and seemed nice, but she didn’t seem very engaged. The food was deliciously served, but the bathrooms were gross. It was nice to have individual restrooms, but they need a remodel and refreshing. No seat covers were available in the two different ones I went into, calling around sinks was pulling away and they just seemed old, overall. My party each ordered a side of Brussels sprouts to take home, as they were delicious!

   The food is always great here. However, the service while friendly is unattentive. Drinks were not brought to the table for 25 minutes (it was not a complicated order). The waitress rarely returned (thus we had only one drink). The staff appear to congregate in the kitchen (it’s open so you can see them) with their backs to the dining area. It is nearly impossible to get anyone’s attention. One person in my party ordered carry out to take home. We could see it boxed up and could not get anyone to bring it to us. I rarely come despite the food being good. It never seems to improve. It’s not like this at Bethesda.

   We came for a girls’ night out and loved the food. We had the edamame dumplings and the cauliflower for appetizers, as well as the butternut squash pizza with almond ricotta. Very yummy. We were disappointed that they were out of the chocolate peanut butter tart for dessert, but the flourless chocolate cake was excellent. Our waitress was very young, probably too young to drink, but she took good care of us anyway. I can’t wait to return.

   Due to staffing shortages, the service is notably slower… It took a while for our food to come out, we rarely saw our waiter (he was also serving plenty of other tables), and it took upwards of 12 minutes to get a water refill. Aside from the service, the food was good. I really like that TFK can accommodate requests when it comes to the food and it’s always of good quality.

    Lettuce wraps were served on a very small board so it was impossible not to make a mess in putting them together. There wasn't a lot of actual flavor that came through because of the extreme spiciness of the sauce. If you didn't put the sauce on at all, not flavorful... The quinoa bowl was ok, but nothing special. Our server was intense and "over stopped by" and yet forgot the request for sweetener for the hot tea. Lunch was $50 for two including tip. In the suburbs. Ouch.
