   The food and service were marvelous! Such great use of herb oils (in cocktails, drizzled over dishes). If the music hadn't been so loud this would be been five stars.

   Definitely one of the best restaurants in Mérida with interesting small plates and attentive service. As many recommend, we had the eggplant, charred sweet potato and tomato/pesto plate as starters, which was substantial. We shared the roasted chicken, which was a full spatchcocked chicken in a lemon marinade that was very good. Beautiful decor, relaxed ambiance. Wines definitely expensive, but extensive choices (you have to ask for wine list, which is only available on a tablet; with some hunting, we found a reasonable Prosecco bottle).

    Everything is shareable. We started with the roasted eggplant and the fried zucchini. Both were perfectly prepared with interesting sauces. We shared the catch of a day, which was an entire deboned Seabass. Simply marvelous. Great service. My only complaint (minor) was that there were only Mexican white wines by the glass.  We will definitely be returning to Tulia.
