The buffet was very nice however if you weren't a fish lover the starters were limited. I was also disappointed in the Christmas decor or lack of it. Last time I was there in December the place was decorated with gingerbread houses and lovely foliage.. this year there were only a few trees dotted around ..same ones they've had for year. Coming in the main entrance there was nothing outside and the hedges were all covered in a green tarpauline. Very disappointed. I expected more from a hotel of this standard

We went for a family afternoon Sunday special events lunch. Everything was 5 stars the food the service the staff the ballroom the hotel the views everything was just fabulous. Would definitely book again.

Had a lovely day at Sunday brunch for my friends birthday. The food was amazing, the view were lovely and we really enjoyed the buffet style for all courses. We had a 1pm table booked and it was very quiet when we arrived but got busy by the time we left so I'm glad we went at that time. I have a nut allergy so they had a chef come out and go through every dish that did contain nuts (there wasn't many, so that was good) We travelled 1½ hours to get to Turnberry but was definitely worth the road trip.

Great experience and atmosphere excellent service however i did wait over 20mins for a glass of wine but they kindly gave me it on the house which I appreciated. Food was excellent although the main courses could have been warmer. Overall excellent

Quite disappointed in this visit. Our second time at the Sunday Brunch and the first time was vastly superior in many ways. We ordered a bottle of wine with our meal, 2 glasses were poured and the bottle removed. When we asked for more wine we were again poured another couple of glasses. We asked why the bottle was taken away and the waitress said 'I can't comment on that'. Again the bottle was removed. So we didn't finish the bottle of wine that we had asked for and when our bill arrived we were charged for 4 glasses (more expensive than a bottle). I wanted the roast beef but there wasn't any out when I went up. I was told it would be 5 mins. My husband plated his whole meal and finished eating it before the beef came out the kitchen, approx 20 mins. A lot of the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing and even trying to get out bill at the end of our meal. The waiter said he would get a colleague to deal with us. Not really what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
