   This Xmas our family is abandoning us for cooler, overseas destinations, so we decided to have a family (10) Xmas gathering in mid-December, but needed something special and different, and the Tuscan Terrace at the Sirromet Winery at Mount Cotton was a universally, popular choice. The location is perfect, landscaped gardens in a country setting and not too far from the suburban sprawl. The Tuscan Terrace is a large outdoor area set under large, shady trees. It was a 30+ degree day (no snow to be seen) but the tree canopy and regular breeze kept us acceptably cool. The food was excellent with plenty of gluten free and vegan options, at reasonable prices, around $40 for a main course. The Darling Downs, grain fed, chargrilled steak (Manzo) was a popular and well received option, along with the antipasto and breads. Being a vineyard, the wines are very reasonably priced at around $35 a bottle (as opposed to your normal $50-70 restaurant prices.) So in summary, a restaurant location with a difference, good food, reasonably priced wines, efficient service and at a price that shouldn’t challenge the bank balance (particularly if you invite the grandparents and they pay!)    We held our Christmas party on Saturday night. It always is a pleasure to be at Tuscan Terrace, the ambience and the views are magnificent, even watching the many wallabies feeding on the grass on sunset is lovely to watch. Unfortunately, I think Sirromet can do better with the meals...there should be more to choose from the menu and the steak was tough for everyone that ate it. There were heaps of empty tables, inside and outside...which makes me think that it must have gone downhill, as I've been going to Sirromet for many years and always jam packed. I will still make a booking in the future with my husband, probably not a big booking again. It is such a beautiful landscape and beautiful surroundings, let's hope they get some new chefs or change a few things around to make it special again.

   Disappointed, we were all looking forward to a great meal. Unfortunately the food and service were very ordinary, expected a great deal more for the prices they charge. Main meals were just okay, dessert and coffee very disappointing. Service was hit and miss.

   We regularly come here to eat for birthdays, work functions and love the atmosphere and service. sometimes due to allergies the menu is a little restrictive, but the food always tastes good and presents well. We love it.

   Stunning venue with beautiful food. Really reasonably priced, great service and wine was divine too. Will definitely return. Well done Sirromet.

   Disappointing! Lovely location. Main dish $40. Fish dry. Vegetables overcooked. Meal cold. Staff less than attentive with the exception of one young man who welcomed us on arrival. Best part of the experience was the wine but no coasters so with condensation on a humid day our wine and water glasses were dripping over table and ourselves. When we requested coasters they said they don’t have any. Sirromet need to do so much better.

   I had to wave for service 3 times during our visit. I ordered the kingfish small plate and there was very little on the plate when it came out. Barely an entree. I had to ask for a replacement dish of meatballs. Overall the food was very expensive for the quality and quantity. We decided to have dessert elsewhere.
