   We like the food and the space is very nice. However, we had to flag down our server several times just to take a drink order; 2 of our party had wine already and the other 2 had to wait at least 20-30 minutes and only after I asked for a server. Then, he never came back to take our food order - he should have at least asked us for appetizers and put in that order, but we sat there with only drinks in front of us. After finally taking the orders, 3 entrees came out. My husband sat there for a while without anything before finally the server came back to say "oh, sorry, they dropped your plate on the floor and are making a new one". Another 20 minutes goes by; the rest of us have finished, and his order comes out. No other apology. No offer to take it off the bill. Nothing. So, while the food is good and inventive, the service ruined the evening. We won't be back.

   My friends and I loved everything about Ubani: our server was fabulous; the food and beverage offerings were delicious; and the relaxed ambiance was perfect for a Thursday evening. We can’t wait to return!

   Amazing absolutely amazing Georgian authentic food! The wine!! The chacha! Nicest and warmest people of the planet the Georgians! No wonder why are they so famous for their hospitality! Love Ubani! All 3 locations btw but 49th street has my heart big time! The owners are beyond lovely people, so is the staff! Strongly recommend!!! Gaumarjos! Madloba!

   This was the best meal I've ever had. The entire staff was Georgian and had great insight into their food & wine. We were there on Valentine's Day, so they had a live singer - who was incredible. Despite the singer & it being packed, it never got overly loud. We never needed to raise our voices to hear each other. The ubani salad was incredible. The appetizer platter was a perfect sampler (tzatziki tasting cheese was out of this world) everything we had was so tasty and we only wish we lived closer to be back sooner!

   The food was delicious and ambience lovely. The wine and cocktails are a bit pricey but artfully presented. Definitely a special place with quality, authentic dishes!

    This is a lovely-looking restaurant that is fairly new to midtown NYC. The Georgian menu was new to my husband and myself and we will certainly return on a different day of the week (not Saturday night) when the noise level at this hour was extremely annoying to me. Not sure why but hearing other people's conversations is my idea of an enjoyable meal. I absolutely can't stand this. Thus, no more Saturday nights. However, we wanted to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary which fell on a Saturday and was unacknowledged by the restaurant. The food turned out to be extremely salty, another criticism of the food and my second annoying fact. This also was not taken into consideration when I made my Open Table reservation. Low sodium was clearly written under the appropriate topic. However, I would try this restaurant again as their menu has interesting dishes. Next time my reservation will not be on a Saturday evening and at a non-dinner time.
