Uchi, "home" in Japanese, is founded by James Beard Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole. A delicate balance of elevated food and impeccable service, Uchi offers non-traditional Japanese cuisine with signature tastings, sushi, and seasonal omakase. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. If you’re looking for a restaurant with an amazing vibe, Uchi is a must-visit. The atmosphere is chic and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly attentive and thoughtful, making the dining experience truly enjoyable. The ingredients are impressively fresh, and the flavor combinations are unique and expertly crafted. Every dish feels meticulously prepared with incredible attention to detail. We tried their happy hour special—a 10-course tasting menu for just $120 for two people—and it was absolutely worth it. Each dish was a delightful surprise, full of creativity and balanced flavors. The pork belly skewer with green sauce was a standout, perfectly tender with a vibrant, savory kick. Overall, Uchi is the perfect place for an elevated dining experience without breaking the bank, especially during happy hour. Highly recommended!

This is the third time I've eaten here. The first time was when they first opened and it took two hours for us to get our food-- we ended up canceling our last order of nigiri because it took forever. The second time was great and speedy-- ate at sushi bar. The most recent time was a repeat of our first experience. Nigiri took forever. A sushi restaurant should know how to get sushi out of the kitchen in a timely manner. They need to figure out their flow. The time it takes to get the food makes the lack of food all you can focus on. We felt bad constantly following up with our server and knew that it wasn't in her hands. When the food does come, it's great, but will probably not go back here because the time it takes to get one bite of nigiri is just unsettling, especially for how expensive the food it.

Exceptional food and experience. Bartenders are experienced and martinis are elevated. Always love dining here!

Sat outside, had a heater so all good. Servers were soooo nice but everything took forever to get from wine to food. Everything was amazing but the Uchi salad was off the hook fabulous. At the end we ordered the lobster roll and it took more than 30 minutes to get which was a bummer. If it wasn’t for the table beside us who were celebrating an anniversary and just super funny, I think we would have been more upset. Would have given them 5 stars easy if the service was better.

Uchi used to be our favorite place. We’ve eaten there about 7 times. The last 2 visits (last week) were disappointing. The food is definitely not exceptional as it once was. Everything we had was bland - the rice pot was burnt on the bottom. The tempura shrimp roll tasted like a watered down spring roll , the server forgot to bring us some items ordered. We were there twice last week and both meals were overpriced for the value and overall an underwhelming experience, unfortunately. We won’t be back.
