Ulu Kitchen by Merriman is an ocean front restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner service featuring local ingredients and recipes created by chef Peter Merriman.

We have indoor and outdoor dining options, with a full bar, and the most prime dining views in all of Ka'anapali. The breakfast menu features classic favorites like Eggs Benedits, omelettes, pancakes, as well as some unique dishes like the cure (breakfast ramen) and our Hawaiian chilaquiles.

Lunch features our signature smash burger, fresh ahi tuna poke bowl, tempura battered fish and chips, and a fresh local veggie wrap.

Dinner has a seafood forward menu featuring Ahi Sashimi, Grilled Tako, Scallops, Mahi Mahi, Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli. From the land we offer a USDA Prime Beef Filet Mignon, Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef Cheeseburger, and Maui Nut Venison Loin.

    The famous Merriman Mai Tais with lilikoi foam were delicious as always! Sunset views and delicious food. Loved the coconut crème brûlée with ginger snap cookies !

    Overall, a beautiful experience. Having a table close to the water was perfect. The coconut shrimp starter was great. Our Mahi dish was wonderful. We ordered cocktails to start, and due to some technical glitch at the bar, the drinks arrived very late. Nicely, compensation was made.

    Lucked out with best outdoor table in the house, great sunset view. Excellent and gracious service, food delicious and cooked perfectly, local craft beers were tasty as well. A terrific spot in Ka'anapali.

    One of our favorite places to come in Maui. Food and service are amazing and nothing beats that view!

    Another win for Merriman! Fits in the Ka’anapali vibe very nicely. A little more upscale than Monkeypod yet casual at the same time. Great food! Great service! Great location! With the loss of so many Lahaina icons, it’s great to see some new and yet familiar options fill the void. The focaccia bread was fabulous. Super Caesar salad. How can you screw up a Caesar salad? Overdressed? Underdressed? Lousy croutons? Limp romaine? These were on point! After two weeks of eating great island fish my wife and I both wanted some meat. She went with a burger and boy did it deliver! More than enough for a hungry diner. Cooked perfectly! With tasty toppings. And o ton of tasty crispy fries. While wanting some beef, I couldn’t ignore that beautiful ocean so I went with the surf and turf. The filet, again cooked perfectly and soooo tender! The ulu mashed potatoes were comforting and yummy. And while lobster ravioli may not be the usual “surf” combination, it stood up well to the richness of the filet and herb butter. No room for dessert after all that but the choices looked tempting. If you are a fan of Merriman like we are, you will like Ulu Kitchen!

    Breakfast was served on cold plates. Eggs were cold before we finished. Madison, our waitress, was not as attentive to our needs as expected. Great seats and nice view.
