Original server assigned didn’t want to serve me, I was assigned someone else. I had asked him for the Dine Out Boston menu and from there my server was switched. New server was polite and knowledgeable of the items on the menu, gave great suggestions. Overall a nice place and will return. Btw just take an Uber there, locating a parking space was exhausting.

Overrated. Too many tables crammed into a small place. Steak from Whole Foods tastes better. Grill 23, Abe & Louie’s, and Del Friscos are better options if you’re looking for steak.

Our time at Umbria was a true delight and enhanced greatly by our server Ken. Food was out of this world and his wine recommendation took it to the next level. Can’t wait to go back!!

As usual the dinning experience at Umbria was very good. Our steaks were done perfectly. It really doesn't matter what cut you order they are all excellent. For desert we would recommend the chocolate cake. One serving is enough for two people.

Manager was so rude! We sat in a covered addition area to the left of the main restaurant. It began to rain heavy and rain was falling on our table. We asked for the manager and he agreed that it wasn’t rain but condensation. It was rain but what ever he thought it was didn’t matter he did nothing to resolve the situation. It lasted for 15 minutes and as soon as we could we left. Won’t be back

We had a reservation at 9 PM. The food was excellent, but the service was very bad. The waitress who served us tried to bring us the check as soon as we finished the main course, didn’t offer dessert, and when we asked about desserts, she literally said, ‘Go to the corner to Dolce.’ They just wanted us to leave as soon as possible.

Food was just mid and not nearly on par with the rest of North End. It was overpriced! $350 for two people. A meal I wouldn’t have paid $100 for. Very disappointing. Drinks were very good. Glass stems were sticky though. Service staff was very nice. Meatball appetizer was odd, had a coating on it. Lobster cocktail was not chunks of claw and tail, rather little strings and pieces. Lobster dumplings were tasty but they were cold and sauce was flavorless and runny. Sorry, just not a good food experience. Walked across the street for dessert and Modern saved the night. Ambiance at Umbria was very nice but I wouldn’t go back.

Food & service was excellent! Seats were crowded on the closed in outdoor seating area. The enclosure was not fully zipped, cold wind was blowing in from the storm outside. Made for a chilly date night. The restaurant kept my purse safe when it had been left at my seat. Excellent service all around

Had a good time but the service was fairly slow all though it was a busy night it took 25 minutes for a glass of wine to be brought to our table after ordering it. Food was still pretty good despite the amount of time it took and the portions I thought were good.

We were seated in a dark hallway like dinning area busy with people being usher into a more opulent dinning area, not the best feeling.
